I was sitting in the park listening to my favorite podcast when I saw him. He was having a picnic with his friends. It was only a smile but my heart, it went wild. I wasn't expecting that.

We were walking by the beach talking about our dreams. Just a delicate kiss anyone could have missed. I wasn't expecting that. Your hand slipped in to mine. You spend the night in my bed, you woke up and you said "Well I wasn't expecting that"

I meet you parents only two weeks after our first night together. You told me to relax but I couldn't, I didn't want to mess this up. It was the best thing going on in my life.

We walked out of your childhood home and sat on the sideway waiting for a taxi. It was only a word, it was almost mis-heard. I wasn't expecting that. But it came without fear, a month turned in to a year. I wasn't expecting that. I thought love wasn't meant to last. If I ever get the nerve to ask, "What did I do to deserve somebody like you? I wasn't expecting that.

We spend the up coming years together when finally one day you proposed. We were watching the sunset sitting on the sideway of your childhood home like all those years ago when you pulled out a ring and asked me to be yours. We were married in spring. You know I wouldn't change a thing. Without that innocent kiss, what a life I'd missed.

I took a chance on a little romance. I wasn't expecting that. Time flies by fast we moved back into your childhood home after I told you we were having a baby.

You saw the light in me when no one did. Could this be it? Everything we ever wanted?

Three kids up and gone. I wasn't expecting that. But then one day you fell to the ground and scared me to death. When the nurses they came, said it's come back again. I wasn't expecting that.
