You'd been dating Otis for a while now. You decided to do something different this date night and you decided to break into the swimming pool on campus. You splashed each other, had make out sessions in the water and tried new tricks under the water.

Once you both had calmed down and dried of a bit you decided to tell Otis how you really felt. "Hey Otis?" You questioned, drawing his attention from the pattern in the water he was making with his feet.

"Yeah?" He asked when you didn't continue.

"I... I love you" you said nervously, dropping your gaze to the water. Otis gave a small chuckle and did the same.

There was a quiet moment between you two, your heart felt as though it had stopped. Without warning Otis spoke your name, gaining your attention.

"Yeah?" You asked when he didn't continue - like he did prior with you.

"I love you too" he confessed. He placed his hand on your cheek and kissed you passionately and longingly. Both of you pulled away from the kiss when you suddenly heard a sound and a man calling out to the building. "Shit!" Otis said and helped you up. Now all you had to do was run.

"I'm glad you agreed to this" you said, dipping your toes to feel the water. "Though when I asked you out I didn't expect it be right here right now" you giggled.

You'd been getting to know Maeve Willy over the past few weeks after she started a business with your twin brother. He was jealous of how close you became with Maeve, and the way she would shine up when seeing you. You knew Otis had a thing for Maeve but you didn't wanna let that come in the way for what you and Maeve could be.

"Didn't wanna wait any longer" Maeve shortly said. "You're really great (y/n), and I don't usually do the whole dating thing but-" she took a deep breath and continued. "You're definitely worth it" she looked down at the pool, afraid of your reaction.

"You're really cool Maeve, funny too" you said, nudging your leg with hers. "I'm really glad you came into my life, you really changed me and god you're so hot and I think I love you but that would be too soon to say right so-" you stopped abruptly. "Shit" you spat out, realizing what you had said.

Maeve tried to hold back her giggles but failed. She looked at you with love in her eyes as you covered your face with your hands. She turned back to look at the pool and after what felt like forever she finally responded. "I love you too (y/l/n)"
