Just a short fluff story with our favorite prison lesbian !!

The bed was cold, stiff, and somehow it was so much comfier than the ones in SHU. Her eyes were nailed to the ceiling, body laying straight on the bed as her mind wandered away.

A raspy yet oddly familiar voice awoke her from her trans. "Are you okay?" the redhead asked, leaning against the concrete wall.

"No" (y/n) simply said, not moving or flinching or showing any emotion. Nicky shrugged and nodded her head understandingly.

Nicky had spent some time in SHU, not as long as (y/n) but she knew how it was, what it dose to one's mind. She could not however, imagine what it was like to be there for over two years.

Nicky never thought she'd see (y/n) again, non of them did. When Gina ran into Nicky on her way to tell Red she had seen (y/n) enter Nicky's bunk, Nicky couldn't believe her ears. And yet here she was, out of SHU just as fast as she got there.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Nicky asked, walking over to sit down on the edge of her bed.

"No" (y/n) simply said again. She took a deep breath before speaking again. "Just lay with me" she said, and Nicky did as she was told, laying her arm out so (y/n) would lay on her chest.

(y/n) held Nicky's torso tight, afraid that if she'd let go it'd all just be a dream. Nicky could feel (y/n)'s shaky breath against her chest, (y/n) didn't deserve this she thought as she started combing (y/n)'s tangled and disheveled hair with her free hand.

Silently she shushed and comforted the (h/c) girl, rested her own forehead on (y/n)'s and tried her hardest not to break down in front of the younger girl. "It's okay now, you're okay now" Nicky repeated, not sure if it was for the (h/c) girl or herself. "I'm here"

Time went by but Nicky and (y/n) stayed the same, like statues never moving. It was close to bed time, Nicky could tell, more and more people wearing nightgowns and taking their necessities to the bathroom.

They could hear a man's voice from afar, coming closer. (y/n) wasn't supposed to be here, it wasn't her cube, but she laid put. Nicky stopped tracing her hand over (y/n)'s arm when the male voice became clearer.

It was O'Neil, Nicky reconoced, they wouldn't be in too much trouble. "Hey (y/l/n), get out of here" he spoke, trying his best to assert authority. But (y/n) laid still, not moving, not flinching.

Nicky seated herself up a bit to look at the officer. "She's been in SHU for over two years, could you please give us a minute, officer O'Neil" Nicky said in her old charming way.

O'Neil nodded shortly, telling them to make it quick. He left them alone and Nicky tired her best to wiggle out from under (y/n).

"Stop" the younger girl said and tried pulling the redhead back. Nicky didn't obey and continued to get out of the bed. "Stop!" (y/n) yelled again, tears in her eyes. "I can't be alone Nicky!" Most inmates listened upon their conversation now, aware of what's happening, pretending to attended to their own businesses nonetheless.

Nicky sighed loudly as she started to pace in the small open space they had in their bunks. "You have to or they'll throw you in the SHU again" she said calmly even though she was getting worked up. She couldn't lose the girl again, but she knew (y/n) was stubborn. "Please," the redhead begged. "I'll go with you" Nicky bent in front of the bed, looking up at the young girl. (y/n) could see the pain and worry in Nicky's eyes, and she hated it.

The (h/c) took a deep breath before standing up, Nicky following her move. She nodded almost unnoticeable. "Fine" (y/n) looked at Nicky pleadingly. "Promise I'll be okay" she said, afraid to leave her comfort place now that she finally got it back. Her comfort person.

Nicky put her hand on the girls cheek, their faces nothing but a few inches from each other. "It's okay now, you're okay now" Nicky said, placing a soft kiss on (y/n)'s lips. "I'm here"
