You had a smug look as you walked towards the table were Alicia, Nick and Luciana were sitting. As you sat down Nick and Luciana excused themselves form the table so you and Alicia were alone.

"Why the stupid look on your face?" She asked with confidence. Alicia was the one who find you and brought you to the stadium, you hadn't talked much but she had your respect. "You wanna join me on today's run?" She then asked when you didn't answer, you nodded and continued to eat your food.

You hadn't been outside the walls since you got here so you were excited and scared for what's to come, Alicia must have noticed because she explained how it would go down. Needless to say you liked each other's company.

"You've done this a lot?" You asked knowing the answer.

"Yes" She mumbled concentrating on the road.

"Do you like it?" You then asked after a while of quiet.

"Sometimes" She started before taking a deep breath. "Don't think bad of me but I like it, the killing I mean, I like the adrenaline I get from it and the satisfaction of surviving another day. I shouldn't like it but I do, there's just something about it" She explained nervously so you took her hand dragging it to you lap. You didn't say anything, you didn't have to.

You arrived at an old town with a few stores hoping to find food or something useful.

"(y/n) watch out!" Alicia screamed and dragged you closer to her before taking her knife and putting it in one of the dead's skull. Fortunately it was only one so you two could cleanse the place unbothered.
In the car back you didn't talk. Alicia was upset and you couldn't blame her, you hadn't found anything good in the small town and now you had to go back empty handed. The gate opened and Alicia drove inside before walking of to her room.

"How did it go?" Madison asked but soon realized the answer when she saw your face. You didn't know why but somehow you thought you would come back a hero, with food and endless of supplies. I'm so stupid you thought and walked to the corner of the stadium. It was your safe place, your private place.

The next day you asked Madison if you could try again and after a lot of convincing she approved. You were supposed to take Alicia with you but stupidly you wanted to do this alone. You drove past the small town going outside the searching area, Madison had specifically told you not to go outside the range but now was not the time for second thoughts.

When the night slowly arrived you decided to set camp not to far away the road so no one could see you. At this time you were starving foolishly you had forgotten to bring food with you since you weren't used to this things.

You tried to sleep but the ghost of those you loved hunted you. As you closed your eyes yet again you heard a voice coming from the radio in the car, you rushed over and herd Alicias voice. "(y/l/n) if you hear me answer, don't be stupid!" She yelled desperately, you wasn't going to answer at first but you didn't want her to get lost looking for you.

"Head south from the town and follow the road and you'll find me" You answered before heading back to your tent.

Alicia stepped out of the car and woke you up after finally falling asleep. "Are you crazy!" She yelled making you wide awake. "No one goes out alone. No one!" She continued in a scared tone.

"I'm sorry" You felt guilty for making her worry about you.

"What were you thinking? What if something happened? Huh?" She didn't say it with anger but with concern. "If this is you trying to prove something..." She starts but looks down as her eyes start tearing up.

"I wanted to make you proud" You whispered guilty for making her cry. "I guess I just..." You started but couldn't find the right words. She wiped away her tears laying down on the cold bottom of the tent. You opened you sleeping bag offering her to sleep next to you. "Please" You whispered when she didn't make a single move. She rolled over to you going inside the sleeping bag. It was crowded but you didn't mind actually liking it.
