~Stephanie's pov~
It's been a couple weeks since Christmas.
New Years passed in a flash, starting a new year with Ruel is almost like a dream.
Today is the first day of February and our first day back at school.

Hearing my alarm clock only makes me want to dig deeper into my duvet.
I press snooze and decide to let myself sleep a little longer.

~an hour later~

"Steph?"
"Steph?"
"You gotta wake up"

I open my eyes to see ruel, in his school uniform sitting on my bed.
Oh shit, I slept in.

"What's the time?" I ask worriedly.
"I'm, almost 8" he says looking down at his watch.
"Shit shit shit, I'm running really late" I say jumping out of bed almost tripping on my blanket and running into the bathroom to get changed.

I quickly get my school uniform on and brush through my hair before grabbing my laptop and school bag and signalling Ruel to come downstairs.

"If we're gonna make it we have to leave now" I say hurrying down the stairs.

"Stephie" he says putting his hands on my shoulders.
"We can just drive, it's way faster than walking we'll be there with heaps of time" he smiles.

"Oh, okay" I say calming down.
"good, cos I haven't made my lunch" I smile.

We walk down to the kitchen and I grab the stuff to make a sandwich.
I put my usually chicken and avo in the bread and then wrap it up to bring to school.

"I'm ready" I smile
"Okay let's go" Ruel says grabbing his keys out of his pocket.

We walk across the street to his house and walk into the garage to see his car. He opens my door before his and then runs around the other side to get in.

I turn on the radio and Ruels song comes on. Over the summer holidays, Ruels really blown up, forming a fan base.
I immediately start screaming the lyrics like my life depends on it.

"Omg stop" he says laughing
"WHY? MY BOYFRIENDS ON THE RADIO!" I scream even louder.
After awhile he can't help but join in.

Finally we make it to school and Ruel parks his car. We both get out and he immediately connects his hand to mine.

As we walk through campus people start staring. Everybody looking lovingly at Ruel and death staring at me. It seems the need of Ruels big break is hit the school. I don't think he's just my little secret anymore.

"Have I told you your beautiful this morning" Ruel whispers in my ear cutting me off from my thoughts.
I immediately blush.

"No. But now you have. I love you" I smile looking up at him.

"I love you too" he coos leaning down to peck my lips.

We finally reach our lockers. Being right next to each others again, just like last year.
That's the perks of me have a last name at the beginning of the alphabet and him have a last name at the end.

School goes on as usual, only more attention on Ruel as I stand at his side.
Lunch time finally arrives, as I go down to meet Ruel at our spot on the oval.

I see him sitting there, except he's not alone. Molly, my ex best friend molly. The one that actually made me meet Ruel at that cafe.

She's sitting there talking to him. I wonder what they are talking about.
I walk closer careful not to let them see me, but just close enough to over heat their conversation.

"I really liked that song of yours, every time I hear it I feel like you wrote it just for me." Molly obviously flirts.

"I didn't" Ruel says keeping his words few.

" it seems like you've got a lot of followers on instagram, maybe we could take a picture together to post?" Molly suggests.

"No thanks" Ruel says shortly.

Molly continues to ramble about something to do with her modelling career until Ruel cuts her off by saying,
"Hey have you seen Steph?"

"Um, no" she says sheepishly

"Oh that sucks" he slumps

" I mean not really" she scoffs

This is my time to step in.
"Hey baby" I say walking over to Ruel and kissing him on the lips.
"Oh hey molly" I say looking at her.

"New we're just talking about you" Ruel smiles at me.

"Oh really, all good things I would hope" I grin

"always bubba" he smiles putting an arm around my shoulder.

" so molly, you were just talking about modelling, I think Stephie could model, she's literally the most beautiful person alive" Ruel says getting up Molly's nose.

"Bye" Molly says standing up and walking away.

"Wow, someone's touchy" Ruel says a bit too loudly.

I poke him in the side before leaning up to kiss him again.
"Thank you for that" I smile up at him.

"Anytime, she's boring as shit" he chuckles
"Aww that's being mean to shit" I say
