~Stephanie pov~

It's 6 o'clock on a Friday night as i walk into my favourite bookshop. The book shop has a cafe attached and each Friday they hold an open mic-night and I  go down to watch my best friend perform.
Recently me and my best friend have  been fighting. I had just walked away from said fight as I  were walking to the cafe.
She won't be there, but maybe it'll give good memories.

I open the hard wooden door and take down my umbrella to put in the umbrella stand. The bell on the door chimes, signalling Suzie, the lady that owns the shop to turn and look at me. She smiles and waves as she knows I'm a regular. I wave back hesitantly before walking over and taking a seat.

A waiter quickly comes and takes my order as i cross one leg over the other. I order banana bread and a cappuccino. I look into your lap as a tear escapes my eye, remembering when times were easier.

"Sorry miss, are you alright?" A voice says from above. I  look up to see a very tall boy with light brown hair and golden eyes look down at me. I give a light smile before wiping my eyes and nodding.

"Can I sit?" He asks hesitantly.
I nod my head as he sits down on the chair across from me.
"Good thing you said yes, otherwise this would be a bit awkward now, wouldn't it?" He snickers looking at me with pity.
"I suppose it would" I  manage to get out.

"I know it's none of my buisness, but do you mind me asking what's wrong?" He says almost whispering.
I  take a gulp before saying "my best friend of years is fighting with me and I thought that I would come here to relive memories but all it's doing is bringing up all the bad situations she put me through."

He looks at me with those big honey eyes and sighs with pity. We sit there in silence as the acts go by. Some good some bad, all different but somehow merged together.

"You're awfully pretty for someone so sad" He says finally.  At first I'm shocked and all i manage to do is look down and blush. More silence fills the air before i say,
"You're quite the charmer aren't you? Here you are complimenting me when I don't even know your name"
A warm smile appears on his face. The kind of smile that makes someone's life worth living.
"Ruel. My names ruel."
"Ooh foreign, how new" i smile at ruel.
He chuckles as he starts to blush and go quiet.
"Stephanie" I blurt out. "My names Stephanie, but my friends call me Steph "
"Nice to meet you steph"
"Ditto, ruel"
We both stare at eachother for a Moment. It's kind of odd since we  only just met eachother, but this boy is like a god so i take what i can get.

"Do you sing?" Ruel asks looking over at the stage.
"No, what makes you think that?"
"Well you are a teenage girl sitting in a library cafe at an open mic on a Friday night."
"Do you sing?" I say trying to hit him back but failing as he simply nods his head and then jumps onto stage and sings.
Boy does he sing.
He sings well.
Really well.
2 minutes later, he is finished and takes overstated bows before jumping off stage.

"Okay, that's enough showing off for one night" i kid, nudging his shoulder.
He snickers as you both walk out of the shop.
I reach the middle of the parking lot before asking the dreaded question.
5 words and a question mark.
We both turn to eachother and say it at the same time.
"Can I have your number?"
