~Stephanie's pov~
It's been a couple weeks since Ruel's gig and his record company is throwing a release party for his new EP.

I needed to get changed out of my pjs and put on my  clothing for the event. It was probably one of the most high profile events I've ever been to, heaps of radio stations and magazines are sending over representatives to interview him on the EP.

I tied my long dark hair into a half up half down and styled the ends into sold curls, making sure to loosen a few bit around my cheekbones to frame my face.

I changed into a silk, black slip dress with a Cowell neck that went just below the knees and paired it with a pair of black square toe heels with a strappy ankle.

I then put on light makeup, concealer, mascara, eyeliner and a bold red lip.
I grabbed my small black beaded purse and headed downstairs.

Ruel was already at the event, however called an Uber for me to make sure I get to the event on time.
I opened the front door of my house and walked out onto the patio and up to the Uber.

I got into the car and sat quietly whilst the Uber took me to the event. After about 20 minutes we arrived at the venue, I payed the driver and got out of the vehicle.

I walked onto the rough concrete and towards the large security guards. Their eyes looked me up and down before nodding their heads slightly and opening the large metal doors to let me in.

As soon as I entered the room a strong scent of champagne and peppermint. Fairy lights hung from corner to corner of the room, people conversing with each other and enjoying the all round celebrations of the evening.

My heels clicked on the hard wood floor as I made my way through the crowd. It seems that events like this are becoming more and more common in my life.

I reached a table filled with glasses of cocktails and champagne, I reached my hand out to grab a glass and feel the condensation of my finger tips.

I linger in the crowd realising I know not a single soul here when two arms wrap around my waist. I let out a small yelp and turn my head quickly to see two strands of golden hair and a boy with a big smile on his face.

"You scared me" I smile leaning into his hold.

"I'm sorry bubba, I thought you wouldn't mind considering how fucking beautiful you look. You're really quite lucky I did not sweep you off your feet and kidnap you so I can have you all to myself" he chuckles leaning his head on my shoulder.

"You already have me to all to yourself" I smile turning myself around so I can wrap my arms around his neck. His arms drop to the small of my back slowly getting lower second by second.

He leans in so that his mouth is by my ear, "That's a relief because I don't think I could ever share you".

"However I must share you as tonight is your night and you need to be interviewed by all these important people so your life can flourish." I say rubbing my the back of his neck.

"But my dear, my life is already flourishing with you in my arms" he whines pulling me closer to him.

"Stop being cheesy, now go get em baby, I'll be all yours later" I smile leaning in to peck his lips.

"Fine" he pulls away "... but I will take up your offer for later".

"I thought you might" I say patting him on the back and pushing him towards the attention.

The interviews continued all through the night along with music, champagne and laughter. Not much longer later the night was over. The hall was clear and left over confetti and serviettes were littered across the floor.

As I waited for Ruel to pick me up, I heard the subtle quiet playing of a piano and humming. I looked over to see my boyfriend sitting at the piano chair.

I tried to make my way through the hall quietly but I was betrayed by the clicking of my heels on the wooden floor.

His head turns as he looks at me, his playing stops momentarily as he smiles.
"Hi" he says quietly.

"Hey there stranger" I say as I slowly approach him. His hands continue to graze across the keys of the piano. I let my heels click along to the beat of the music.

He stops playing again and looks me in the eyes. "Let me dance with you" he smiles.

I simply nod and wait for him to join me. He steps out from behind the piano chair and grabbed his phone from his pocket. He puts on some song I don't know the name of and walks over to me and wraps his arms around me, burying his head in my neck.

We sway slightly to the beat of the melody, I graze my hands against his hair and kiss the side of his head.

"I love you" he says the sound muffled by his head resting on my shoulders.

"I love you too" I speak saying nothing but the truth I felt in my heart. He raises his head from my shoulder and holds me tight to him, his hands resting in the small of my back.

"Have I told you how stunning you look in this dress" he smiles holding the thin black silk fabric between his fingers.

"You have, however I've never been one to turn down a complement." I say looking up from his chest.

We sway in silence for what feels like an eternity until he speaks up,
"You know, no matter how crazy this whole thing gets, I don't think anything will thrill me like you do"

My heart swells at his voice.
"You know, no matter how crazy it gets no matter what I will be by your side and you'll be wishing you never knew as I will never leave you" I joke smiling.

"I will never want you to leave."
