Zach enters the room where Aaron is being held by shackles on his wrists and ankles. "So I finally caught an Ultima. After all these years." He walks closer and examines his face. "You been underground this entire time?"
Aaron doesn't answer. Instead, he glares Zach down with a little growling. It was hard keeping his Ultima rage at bay but this was Aphmau's father. He couldn't let anything happen to him. "I'll just take that as a yes." Zach answers himself. "Who would've thought you were right over our noses this entire time?"
Zach wanted answers, but Aaron refused to speak to him. "Okay, I'll ask a question you'll probably answer." He steps closer. "Why would you date my daughter knowing I could kill you with my bare hands?"
Aaron had a million answers to that question. Because she was different from anyone he's ever met. She's an amazing person. She will fight for what's right. She got along with the werewolves easier. He could be honest around her and she was honest.
But he couldn't say anything of that to Zach. Instead, he mumbles, "Because I want to be with her."
Zach smacks him across the face, "Because you want to be with her? You're brave to answer me like that in this position." Zach growls, "You can't be with her. Because that's not how society works."
"What about how your daughter feels? She's a grown woman and she's capable of choosing what she wants to do with her life, even if you don't exactly like it. As her father, you should be happy for her."
"As her father, I'm doing what's best for her. You can't stay here longer and now that I have you, I can do what will be the best for everyone: Have you killed." Zach starts pacing the room. "Yes, yes. The Governor said as soon as we catch you, we can arrange a date. Yes. Yes!"
Aaron only watched him pace the room. "You made the biggest mistake of your life taking my daughter away from me. The worst one was making her like you."
"I didn't make her like me. She did it all by herself. And I regret nothing that's happened."
"Again, really brave that you talk to me like this. I'd hit you again... but I get to go plan your death date."

Mom and Dad walk until my room as I'm reading another romance novel. Dad looks suspiciously happy and my Mom? It's a combination of disappointment and sorrow. "Hey guys... what's going on?" I put my bookmark in the book and close it, placing it beside me on my bed.
My parents look at each other before Mom speaks. "Your father has told me about your... romance with the Ultima werewolf." She says. Oh no. Ohhhhh nooooo. "So me and your father talked about it."
Then Dad jumps in, "And since we've been trying to capture the newest Ultima for years, we've come up with a solution to end our problems."
"You'll let all the werewolves go?" I ask.
"Well yes," My Dad answers. "But, no."
"No?"
"We will let all of the werewolves go on Friday but they have 24 hours to leave or they will be behind bars for a long time. But we are keeping the Ultima here until Saturday. Where he'll be executed."
"WHAT?!" I stand up from my bed, "You can't do that!"
"And why not?" Dad crosses his arms.
"Because that's murder! What the hell is wrong with you both?!"
"Watch your language, young lady!" My Dad raises his voice at me. "No one can change my mind. It'll be an event the whole town gets to watch. We can finally sleep at night."
"You can sleep at night knowing you murdered someone?! What sick logic is that?!"
"He'll by executed at noon and that's final! You may show up if you want or don't, whatever, but don't you dare tell to interrupt the show."
"You're a sick man."
"Sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do." He exits the room but Mom stands there, just looking at me.
"Don't look at me right now." I sit back down on the bed and I cuddle with one of my pillows. She walks over and sits down next to me.
"Can I ask you one thing?" I just nod. "How much do you like him?"
"A lot, Mom. And as much as I want to, I'm not sorry about it. I know you and Dad don't approve of werewolves, but I want to be with him and you can't stop that. You think he's a monster because of his relatives. Well, if he's a monster, he's my monster."
My Mom grabs both of my hands. "I mean... if you're happy, then I'm happy."
"You mean that, Mama?" She nods and I hug her. "Ugh I love you."
"Ugh I love you too." She playfully mocks me. "I'm sorry Dad isn't listening to you. He's stuck on "The Ultimas killed my father 30 years ago and now that I have one, I could end the Ultima race!"."
"Can we stop him? I don't want him to kill Aaron when he's done nothing wrong."
"I honestly don't know, Mi Hija. If we were to stop him from killing Aaron, he could kill us."
"His own wife and daughter? He'd kill his own family for the blood of the Ultima?"
"Well, he wouldn't kill us. But we would definitely get the threat."
I groan, "He's the real monster! How can you be married to him and feel safe in your own home?"
"I never said I felt safe around here with only him. But sometimes, when you're pregnant with your baby and the father can support her, you do what you gotta do." Wow. So she only married him because she was pregnant with me. That's a hard gulp to swallow.
"I know this is out of your power, but can I see Aaron before the execution? I haven't seen him in a few days and I want my goodbye to be personal."
"I don't know, Mi Hija. Yes, your father will be out of town tomorrow to discuss the plans with the Governor, but the GF are on high alert."
"You're his wife. I think you can get past a few GF to his cell. Please, Mama." I plead. She signs and looks out the window.
"Okay I'll try."
