Chapter Nine

            “Shut up Carlo.” I told him grumpily. Today was the last day of my first week of being back to school after that mind freaking comatose month. And right now, Carlo is sitting right across me at our favorite place; under a specific tree in our school grounds, and unfortunately Carlo is taunting me on and on about Kurt and I’s music activity in Professor Evans. He was so rude! He kept injecting that idea on our topic.

            “Dude, back off.” Jay warned at him. And I just smiled at Carlo which in return I received a scoff, which actually made me laugh.

            “Hey Lu, think about it, Carlo is flirting with me.” I said sarcastically to Lu since she was fur person away from me. I heard a snicker beside me and automatically I knew it was Jay, so nudge him at his side and told him by my eyes to just get along.

            “Yeah Lu, tell Carlo to back off with Ly, I can kill anyone who touches her you know.” Jay told to Lu, as for Carlo, he was slowly getting buried in his chair as all eyes in our table fell in him. I shiver at Jay’s word. Who might knew it can be true.

            “Lu—Lucy it’s n—no—not what you think.” Carlo stuttered to Lu, as he tried to explain. God, Carlo does really love Lucy, which was good.

            “Then what was it Carlo Chase?” Lucy asked to him. (Tip: Lucy uses Carlo’s name when she is mad at him.) Lucy unsuccessfully held off her laugh, so we burst out laughing as Carlo gave each and every one of us a glare, especially at Lucy. Carlo gathered his things and walked away at us through the exit of the cafeteria. When Carlo was already out in our table, Lucy excused herself and followed Carlo to where he disappeared.

            “Well, that’s funny.” Luke commented when the couple was already gone. Beth pinched Luke’s arm forcefully.

            “Hey! What was that for?!” Luke asked in surprise at Beth, but she just scoffed at him.

            “That wasn’t funny your and my best friend might be fighting now!” Maribeth shouted back to Luke to let him see her point.

            “Alright! Alright! You didn’t have to hurt me, just have to tell me, okay?” Luke said as they started to cuddle at each other as well as Alyssa and Kurt, which made me roll my eyes at them.

            “How was your week I presume?” Jay asked to me when I turned to look at his direction, we were so close. He slid an arm around my shoulder and rested his chin above my head. Since at my peripheral vision I can see Kurt and Alyssa kissing, I cuddled closer at Jay and stay still.

            “Very good.” I simply said to Jay with a smile at my face.

Dear Piggy Babe,

                Hey, I haven’t written to you for a month and a half now. I’ve been busy since the recent events of my life was indeed very surprising for it happened at the time where I was so distressed with all the pressure and problems that time. But that was before and past now. What was important to me now is finding a right way to break off with Jay. You know Piggy Babe, I’ve been seeing Kurt secretly, and I know it’s a wrong thing to do, but if I fought myself I’ll just be shattered to pieces. One more thing is, I’ve been very distant to Jay these past days, why? I don’t know either but I’ve grow close to Kurt even more.

                Well, that thought was right, I don’t know what to do now. I refused Jay’s suggestion to be his fiancé. I know he was a good one, but he deserve someone who is much better than me. So Piggy Babe, guide me in my decision for my dad and for Kurt’s too.

            I slept peacefully that night after I wrote to my dearest diary, but I was disturbed by Kurt when he came knocking to my window. As much as I like being with him, I need to sleep too.

            “It’s so late Kurt.” I groaned to him when I opened my window pan and let him in.

            “Then I’ll sleep with you.” He said with a sheepish smile to me. I groaned even more and slumped into my bed, my body facing my sheets and tucking myself under it.

            “You can’t.” I told loudly to Kurt and he just shrugged and stayed sitting at the edge of my bed.

            “Please?” He begged to me; now tell me, how I can resist him when he made a pouting face which he knew would make me agree to everything he liked, and that wasn’t fair.

            “You’re compelling me!” I argued with him as I crouch my head to my pillow and never leaving it until I felt someone lay beside my bed. I groaned once more a felt his hands slid to my waist as he pulled me closer to him, to his chest. His chin rested to my head as he hummed lightly in my ear and I could feel my eyelids getting heavier by the minute.

            “Just this time.” I murmured to his chest as I cling closer to him. My eyes slowly shut off and I allowed myself to slip to darkness peacefully.
