Jackson and Jay sat with each other away from the bickering of the group in the kitchen as Jackson placed him on the counter whilst giving him something to eat. "Sorry Dad if I stepped out of line...""No Champ, you didn't." He kissed his forehead as Jay looked up at him, Jackson finally building the courage to ask "What did your Mum tell you about me?" He watched as Jay looked up at him, "She never really about you before, and I didn't ask because I could tell it was something painful for her to share so I let her tell me when she was ready, she told me about a day before we came to Korea; I think she knew deep down that I'd start questioning it more since we were coming back home and that you were here. I went into her room and saw her with your picture, I asked her if you were my dad and she said yes. I wanted to know what you were like, and she said I'm a lot like you, the fencing is all you and same with the spicy food. She looked at me and I think she saw in my eyes that I wanted more; she told me that your heart was always in the right place, that your biggest weapon is your love for what you do and those around you. She said that you are dedicated to making yourself into the very best version you can be..." Jay looked up to Jackson "And she said you were a good person." Jackson's eyes lined with tears, she made sure to keep a perfect image of him inside their son's head that he felt he was undeserving off. "Jay you were right, years ago I hurt your mum really bad, and it caused her to leave." He watched as Jay soaked in the information "As long as your sorry that you did that and you won't do it again that's all that matters Dad, they say time heals wounds, but maybe mum needs you to heal them with your love instead." He looked at Jay bewildered, ruffling his hair "Are you sure your five?" "Mum also said that's all you." Jay retorted laughing, as Jackson joined in.
Wendy stood watching the father and son duo, as much as she hated to admit it, their relationship was cute and she could see the genuineness in Jackson's eyes but she couldn't give in for Irene. "Jay..." she called out. The Wang boys turned to her in sync looking at Wendy as she looked at Jackson "Uncle Bam, wants to play with you..." he nodded enthusiastically as Jackson helped him off the counter watching as he ran to Bambam. He looked at Wendy who ignored him grabbing a glass of water sipping on it. "Wends...." "No I'm gonna stop you there... don't call me that, that's for friends and family which you are neither." Jackson's face recoiled at the words she spoke, but watching her closely he could see her composure slip as she spoke the words her brain told her to say. "I'm sorry..." he whispered, looking up to her. "You were always my sister, the sister I wished I had...I failed to protect you when you needed me there, when you and Irene needed me I wasn't there for either of you and I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for letting you down. Nothing I say will make up for it, I destroyed your relationship as I destroyed my own, I hope that you can accept my apology, as for your forgiveness don't give it to me easily." He smiled at her as she looked at him astonished. "I know things have been hard but give Mark a chance, he was only trying to stand by my side he didn't mean what happened and the way it happened. Tensions were high for us all. Don't hold that against him." He watched as her walls tumbled, as she looked at him biting her lip, before throwing herself into his embrace. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, the other stroking her hair as she broke down, "it's okay I'm here now. Sorry for the delay." He whispered to her as she continued to cry. Seconds turned to minutes as Jackson patiently waited for her to calm down, her breathing finally evening out as she created a small distance "I've missed you Jack..." she whispered. "I've missed you too Wends." They smiled after each other, the other girls standing by the door, they turned at the sob they heard, seeing Suelgi, Joy and Yeri who were in tears too. Jackson looked at them opening his arms as they barrelled into him, the three girls sobbing as he pulled Wendy in as well. "We have missed you Jack...so fucking much..." he heard Joy say as Suelgi wiped a tear that slipped from his eye. He watched as Yeri detached herself turning to the side away from them. Him and Yeri had been very close like the relationship he had with Wendy, but he always felt more protective of Yeri, since she was the baby of the group. He was her older brother. He watched as she gripped the kitchen counter, his arms still wrapped around Joy and Suelgi. He looked at them, his arms moving as he moved closer to her "Yeri...." he begun. "Hey little sis is this how you greet your older bro..." he chimed cheekily as she turned, her arms wrapped around his waist, and head in his chest. He rested his head atop hers, his arms around her shoulders. Bambam and Mark entered the scene as they watched in silence at the bonds being reformed with tears in their eyes. The others stood besides them seconds later as Yeri's sobs died down. She slapped him across the shoulder, his eyes wide "Don't do that again....please." She begged, he nodded pulling her and the rest of the girls in for a hug as the boys moved forward joining in. Jay stood by the door watching with a smile on his face grateful that he made the decision he did. He coughed causing the huddle to break as they turned to him "I want some tooo." He screamed, running forward into Jackson's waiting hands as he picked him up, the formation reforming as they took minutes in each other's arms finally at peace.
Irene sat on an aeroplane staring out of the window as the moon shone over Korea. Home. Her heart corrected. She sighed, her head falling back in exhaustion. She had managed to get an emergency flight and had been on the plane for the past fourteen hours. She was tired. So tired. Her mind refusing to let her catch some peace as it tormented her. Her eyes watered as she watched a passenger sit next to her. "I was waiting to see how long it would take for you to recognise me." Her eyes winded "Suho?" She breathed. "It's been awhile hasn't it Irene?" She nodded dumbfound "I take it your moving back to Korea?" She nodded words failing to come to her mind as sat their confused, he laughed at the expression written on her face. "I was in Canada for some work...fancy meeting you here...congratulations on the child as well." He stated, Irene recognising the bitterness in his voice as he uttered the word child. "Thanks." She whispered. Her eyes moving back out the window. "It's hasn't changed..." she turned back to him "Korea hasn't changed." He simply stated his eyes searching hers as she nodded her head falling to the side. She hadn't even stepped foot in Korea yet and she already wanted to leave. Suho followed her past security offering her a ride "No it's okay...I'll get a cab." She said, attempting to reject the offer politely. "Nonsense Irene your back in Korea after years...just come I'll take you where you need to go." Sighing, her body sagged as she gave up nodding, he took her luggage placing it in the boot before sitting down "And where are we heading Madam?" "JYP and Wang collaborative..." she trialed off. Suho looked at her as he turned to the driver, "you heard the lady." She mentally sighed again her head falling to the side as she considered bashing her head straight through. "So Jackson then?" She turned to him "I've accepted the ride because you insisted, but I have no problem walking, stop pressing into matters that are none of your concern." She said abruptly, the car journey continuing in silence.
Irene stepped out the door the driver had opened for her, she smiled at him saying thanks as she moved to the rear of the car to get her luggage, Suho beat her to it "I'll walk you up-" "Not necessary." She cut in, as he jogged up to her "i want to." She gave up moving forward quickly in silence as he followed behind her, a smirk on his face as she reached her destination. She looked at her watch 2AM blaring at her. She had officially done a 24 hour day, and it wasn't over yet. She banged violently against the door without a second of letting up. Suho watching in horror at her fury taking a step backwards as she continued her assault on the door. The door flew open, Jackson and Irene's gazes locking. After years.
Finally.
