magnus black x dan kouzo oneshots

"drago!" he was falling, off a high volcano reaching out to his partner and best friend. was this the end? the end of dan kouzo would be looked back, cause of death: a fake volcano eruption.

he was inching closer and closer to the ground. it was like everything went in slow motion as he reached out to his low powered bakugan. the heat of the lava reaching to them. he'd either fall to his death or get burnt alive.

he closed his eyes.

he hit something.

only,

it wasn't the ground.

"get up kouzo, you're not dead. at least not yet."

that voice belonged to magnus, the person that litteraly pressed the button and almost killed him! dan opened his eyes. he was on hyper nillious' back as they rode out in the sky.

slowly getting on his hands and knees, still shaking from shock, magnus holds out his hand. dan looks at him confused before taking it and getting up on his feet.

"here." magnus hands dan his dragonoid before turning away from him grabbing onto nillious' wings.

"i couldn't get drago to evolve." dan sighed sitting down on the darkus bakugan's back.

"you'll get there." magnus replied. he could sense his rival's sadness and in a way he could relate, the device on his arm helped him to evolve his own bakugan but he remembered when he first got it how much he struggled to use it.

"but lia wynton and shun already got there's to evolve! why can't i-"

"it'll take time kouzo, haven't you already done it once?!"

"well yeah, but, i can't do it again!"

magnus turned to him looked him solemnly in the eyes before saying: "yes you can, never say you can't. battling a weakling is no fun. are you a weakling dan?!"

dan looked at the floor below them"... no."

"then stop your whining and just be patient, kouzo."

keeping his eyes on the ground he sighed yet again. he couldn't promise anything, he was desperate to feel hyper dragonoid's power once more yet in a way, he could understand. magnus was right, patience was key.

"i'll try."

a moments passing of what felt long, although it had only been minutes, transpired as dan's small frown turned into that of a smile when he replayed the other's words in his head.

scooting closer to the darkus brawler, he wraps his arm on his own to catch his attention, leaning on his shoulder as he does so.

"what are you doing dan?!" magnus asked in a way one could only describe as demanding, turning his head to him both annoyed and flustered.

"that was a nice pep talk magnus, and here i was thinking you hated me." the youger boy chuckled.

"hate you is an understatement," magnus described. "you're annoying but i can tolerate you at times."

"that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me."

the black haired boy could feel his cheeks tinting with a light shade of red. turning his head, he looked down at the ground his bakugan flew over hiding his face. "shut up." he grumbled.

"aw, is magnus shy?!" dan teased pressing his face closer to magnus' shoulder.

"stop talking or I'll push you off!" magnus threatens, great fury in his eyes.

"you love me too much to do that maggy." dan laughed, his goal: teasing.

"i should have left you in that volcano to die!"

all throughout the trip, dan annoyed magnus by saying a bunch of things that the raven haired boy found pestering yet he hated to admit how cute they were so he just grumbled and screamed at him.

when they arrived at studio d, nillious flew down to the ground letting dan hop off to where wynton was waiting leaned against the door.

"bye magnus! thanks for the lift, love you!"

before flying away, magnus flipped dan off with a gloved finger when he began waving, but with him gone and turning his attention away. he had the liberty to smile to himself at what the other had just said.
