"My dear, please don't run so fast, you're putting a strain on your heart." Lanette 'gently' tugged on the leash, making you jerk backwards a bit.
"Hey—" you stumbled and fell on your rear. The male underestimated his strength and overestimated your weight.
"(Y/n)! I'm so sorry!" He rushed to you and picked you up in his arms. Lanette hugged you tightly and stroked your hair with a free hand.
"Are you okay?" He shakily asked as he cradled you. "Would you like to go back to your room?"
"Damn it! I'm not made outta glass, stop treatin' me like I am!" You tried to pry yourself away from him, unfortunately you were no match against Lanette's superior strength. "Let me down so I can walk!"
Lanette frowned as he slowly and hesitantly set you down. You dusted yourself off as soon as he removes his hands from your body.
"You worry me, (y/n)." He whispers as he tuck a strand of your hair behind your ear.
"Remember how my motto for trouble was: 'outta sight, outta mind'? Yeah, you should really start saying that. If you just close your eyes and pretend I don't exist, you'll be happy." You were fed up with his overbearing behavior. Lanette crossed his arms.
"(Y/n), I love you and I can't just 'pretend' you don't exist. Even if I could, I would be miserable—"
"Oh my god could you just— like let me breathe?" You groan in exasperation and brought your hands to your face.
Lanette closed his mouth and watched you.
"You brought me into this pool of hot, steaming crap. I didn't want this, no one wants this! I'll only be remembered as 'Lanette's dollar whore!' And now I can't even do anything in peace!" You angrily pointed at him.
He knitted his eyebrows in concern.
"(Y/n), I can assure you that you will not be remembered as—""Oh shut the hell up, you're like a damn parrot. Repeating the same thing over and over again. Maybe you're the one suffering with a stroke." You were getting increasingly fidgety.
"Oh (y/n)..." he didn't know what to do, your sudden outburst was obviously caused by your boredom. Its the same pattern you exhibited from the past.
He knew that you were an 'unstoppable force'. You needed to be free, free to do whatever you wanted.
But he can't have you attempting to escape or hurting yourself again.
However...
"Lanette, you're damn cancerous!" You 'flipped the bird' on him and furiously spit more insults at him. The celebrity noticed that his bodyguards were preparing themselves to tackle you down if you did anything brash.
Lanette sighed.
"(Y/n), I'm willing to..." he gulped, hopefully this won't bite him in the back later. "...negotiate with you, If you calm down."
"Wow! I didn't know you still had maybe...five percent of your brain! Great job, you sound way smarter now— yeah, I'm listening." You placed your hands on your hips.
He scanned around the area, making sure that all his bodyguards are guarding every possible exits of the garden.
"Tell me, dear. What do you want?" Lanette lowered himself and asked you softly.
