The music was loud and it vibrated throughout the club, not that it bothered any of the party-goers, least of all Aurora Argent. The brunette was finally being able to relieve some of the tension that was consistently shrewd across her shoulders and in her ribs from the death of her cousin, dancing around to loud and harsh club music.
Scott was observing her from the opposite side of the club with a small smile on his face, it was nice to see her like that - sure, she smiled and she spoke normally, but she was still broken inside, he could see it. Her smiles never truly reached her eyes and he could hear her when she woke up from nightmares crying in the middle of the night, he'd always go into her room and hold her close until she fell back to sleep.
Stiles and Lydia, who had walked in moments beforehand, were both smiling at Rory. The strawberry-blonde shook her head gently before commenting,
"She never should have worn those boots"
"What's wrong with the boots?" Stiles questioned in confusion.
"They're too good for the desert" Lydia responded with a small nonchalant shrug before frowning and adding on,
"Actually, that whole outfit is too good for a club in the desert"
Stiles examined Rory, grinning to himself. Her outfit, although comfortable was a bit revealing and made a blush come to his cheeks the longer that he stared at her. Her shorts were high-waisted and rather short showing off her hunter-toned legs that she'd paired with a red crop top that crossed over at the sides, and there was, of course, the heeled boots that made her 5'7 instead of 5'3. The outfit left little to the imagination and caused Stiles to quickly spin back to the bar which made Lydia smirk up at him.
"You alright there, Stilinski?" Lydia questioned teasingly.
"Shut up" Stiles scoffed out with a shake of his head, although the grin never once left his face, he chanced a glanced over his shoulder at the witch before his grin was replaced with a fond smile,
"She's a dork"
"She's your dork" Lydia smirked as she leant against the bar nonchalantly.
Rory was dancing care-free in the middle of the dance floor with Malia, the pair were smiling as their hips swayed and hair bounced around with the music - in fact, Malia's smile seemed to widen as she watched who she considered her closest friend finally smile genuinely, a smile that reached her eyes - when Kira came up to them,
"Something's happening"
"We know" Malia told her with a nonchalant nod, neither Rory nor Malia had stopped their movements causing Kira to look between them in concern.
"What do we do?"
"Blend in!" Rory called back to the kitsune over the music with a small smirk.
Kira's confused expression did not change, the girl still glancing between Malia and Rory causing the latter to huff out a sigh before calling out,
"Dance with us, dumbass"
"Oh" Kira said in realisation before starting to awkwardly dance with the pair, mainly moving the top half of her body in a timid side to side action.
Malia and Rory exchanged a grin before the former pulled Kira close to her by the waist and started dancing with her. The brunette lost all awkwardness to her movements and the trio seemed to just be enjoying themselves for a moment, drawing attention over to them - mainly from males, who cheered and encouraged them to continue dancing.
A feeling shot up Rory's spine, telling her that the hunters that ran the club were closing in on them, finally realising that there were supernatural creatures in the club - probably due to something that either Stiles or Lydia had said.
