Did his mate just admit that she needed him? Did he hear that well? Of course, he did. His wolf couldn't help but jump in excitement knowing that his mate wanted him too.

'I told you' his wolf said making Roy almost roll his eyes, if the atmosphere wasn't this tense he sure would've done that.

He had no clue what he was doing until he found himself in front of Kimberly with no gap between them, he could feel her warm minty breath as he stared at her beautiful lips. Not wasting any second, he leaned in and connected their lips, he could feel his heart beating so fast making him wonder if this was real. The kiss was gentle at first as he sucked her lips softly, but it turned heated pretty fast as he ran his tongue across her lower lip causing her to release a low moan giving him full access. He trapped her waist as he felt her shiver, his wolf was howling with happiness from having his mate in his arms.

They have dreamt of this moment for so long and it was finally a reality. Roy felt Kimberly's small hands travel from his abs to his chest, stopping around his neck. Her tongue responded to his as they were both lost in each other.

Roy was overpowered by desire as his wolf was slowly taking over. His lips slowly moved to her neck, finding her sweet spot, she let out a moan when he found it making him suck on it even more. He wanted to mark her so badly as he continued sucking on that spot. His canines were gradually extending and were about to make contact with her skin when Roy realized that she wasn't being honest with him.

That thought made him stop his action as he was suddenly filled with anger. Kimberly stared at him in confusion, not understanding his sudden change of mind, when she noticed he had a murderous glare on his face making her tremble in fear, she slowly backed away.

"Roy? W-what's wrong?" She quietly asked still walking backwards.

He growled and pushed her hard, making her back hit the wall with force. She whimpered in fear and pain as Roy walked towards her until he had her pinned to the wall.

"Who are you and what do you want from me?!" He yelled in her face causing her to sob.

'What are you doing, Roy?' He heard his wolf growl in anger, only then did he realize what he had done. He stared at a sobbing Kimberly in shock and didn't know what to do to stop her from crying.

'You've hurt our mate!' His wolf barked making him more guilty. He stomped upstairs without looking back.

Kimberly slowly slid down the wall as she sobbed, she couldn't believe what just happened. When he kissed her, she thought he wanted her too, she saw it in his eyes, and the kiss was magical and by far the best she had shared with anyone. She didn't just feel butterflies in her stomach, she saw fireworks and felt sparks all over her body all at the same time making her knees go weak but he held her just in time in his strong arms making her feel safe. But the truth was she was wrong, he didn't want her that way. He only wanted to make her feel like a slut who was desperately in need of his touch and attention.

The thought made Kimberly cry harder feeling like a complete idiot. She managed to get on her feet when she was able to catch her breath with her mind set on one thing and that was to get out of this place, she wasn't welcome here anymore.

Was she ever welcomed in the first place?

She clutched her chest as it hurt from the realization that everything Roy did and the promise he made to her was all false.

Without wasting any second, she ran out of the house with her heart completely shattered. Kimberly ran past the clearing and into the woods with no idea of where she was going.

Roy felt like his heart had been ripped out from his chest. Why was he so foolish? Why was he so good at ruining things? He never meant to react that way nor did he mean to push her at all, he had lost his mind at that point and acted on impulse. His wolf was snarling at him to go after his mate, but how was he going to face her after what he did?

Why did he forget that she was human and humans were fragile, vulnerable, and easy to break? He sat on his bed after letting out his anger and frustration on anything breakable in his bedroom. Staring at his bloody hands that had cuts from the broken glasses which were already healing, images of his sobbing mate trembling before him flashed through his mind causing him to jump to his feet and run out of the room. He had screwed up big time and needed to reconcile things even though he was certain that his mate already hates him.

On reaching the living room, he couldn't find Kimberly where he had left her but her scent was everywhere. Taking a glance around the living room, he noticed the front door was left open

'Oh no, she ran away!'

Without giving it a second thought he ran after her, following her scent which seemed to be everywhere. The farther he ran, the farther her scent went leading him into the forest, he prayed nothing bad happened to his mate.

Kimberly kept running, not planning to stop anytime soon. She had no idea how long she had been running, all she wanted was to be as far away from him as possible. The only thing she could see around her were trees. She finally stopped running and fell to the ground with tears streaming down her face, when suddenly, she heard the sound of trees rustling, causing her head to jerk up, she heard a twig break beside her, thinking it was Roy, she was about to tell at him to go away and leave her alone but her words were caught in her throat when she came face to face with three large wolves.

Roy kept following Kimberly's scent leading him deeper into the woods, then he heard a small whimper and he immediately ran towards the direction it came from.

'Our mate is in danger' his wolf said in his head feeling agitated. He could perceive her scent with a mixture of other unfamiliar scents making him run even faster. Roy froze at the sight of his mate surrounded by three werewolves.

"Get away from her!" He growled as he stormed towards them, he could feel his insides boil with rage.

"Don't come any closer, Roy, they'll hurt you. Please stay where you are." He heard Kimberly plead and that infuriated him even more knowing that these wolves were no match for him.

Charging towards them and ignoring Kimberly's pleas, he jumped mid-air, shifting into his wolf form before landing perfectly on one of the werewolves. Sinking his fangs into the werewolf's neck, he moved his head from side to side until he heard a snap indicating that the werewolf was dead.

Suddenly he felt a sharp pain on his shoulder as another werewolf sank its teeth into his shoulder making him let out a loud growl, he quickly lay on his back and used his limbs to throw the werewolf off him, sending it flying through the air and landing badly.

"Elijah, I need you at the southern border now!" Roy yelled through mind-link while snarling at the last werewolf which was a bit larger than the other two.

Now we're heading somewhere 😉
