It has been four days, four days of hell for Roy. Kimberly has refused to see him or have anything to do with him which upsets and saddens him at the same time causing him to lash out his frustration at the pack members. He didn't mean to do any of those but he desperately needed somewhere to let out some steam because his wolf was slowly losing it, it so desperately wanted to go into Kimberly's bedroom to mark and claim her as his for days now, but Roy has been trying to contain his wolf's yearning for its mate and it was having its toll on him. He needs to talk to someone and get this torment out of his chest and he knows just the right person to talk to.

With that conclusion, he stood up from his study chair and headed for his bedroom to freshen up. He wondered what his room looked like at the moment as he deprived himself of proper sleep for days. He only hoped that after this discussion everything would go back to normal.

Alan just finished having breakfast which Christine made before leaving the house. While she was taking the dishes to the kitchen, he wondered what his mate was up to these days as she was hardly ever at home. For quite some time now she has been going out regularly and he had been meaning to ask her what her frequent outings were about but with everything that has been happening he couldn't find the time to ask and he guessed it wasn't necessary at the moment because he had a bigger issue on his plate.

He couldn't get any sleep all night as he kept wondering why Hailey would show up all of a sudden. She was eager to leave then, so why would she return after so many years, but that wasn't his main concern. What baffled him the most was why she was in their pack and not the white moon pack where she belonged. He was certain Hailey wasn't aware of the incidents that took place after her departure, so why did she choose to come here?

There were so many questions he wanted to ask her but first, he needed to speak with Roy. He couldn't understand why he had a member of the white moon pack under his care and decided to keep it away from him. This is the first time Roy is hiding something from him.

Alan was suddenly brought out of his trance by a knock on his door, he quickly turned off the faucet and wiped his hands with a towel before leaving the kitchen to get the door.

"Are you busy, uncle?" Roy nervously asked the moment his uncle opened the door.

To say Alan was surprised to see Roy was an understatement. Roy had never been to his place this early, there must be something bothering him, but this was also to his advantage since he hadn't decided on when he was going to have that conversation about Hailey with him, he just had to make use of this sudden visit.

"Good morning to you too, Roy," he said stepping aside for Roy to come in but his nephew didn't reply rather he made himself comfortable on one of the couches.

"Should I get you something to drink?" Alan asked instead, using his fatherly voice when he got the hint that this wasn't the right time to bring up Hailey's topic. He couldn't help but feel worried as he had never seen Roy this nervous.

Roy, on the other hand, just nods not trusting his voice at this point. He knew he could let his guard down here since his uncle was the only person he revealed his emotions. But he didn't think that would be necessary today, all he needed was a drink to help calm his nerves as he couldn't comprehend how he was feeling. It seemed his thoughts were suddenly going numb.

"Here, have some coffee," Alan said breaking his thoughts as he walked back into the living room with two cups of coffee, handing one to Roy.

"Thanks," Roy murmured, taking the cup from his uncle.

They sat quietly for about ten minutes, Alan refusing to break the silence giving his nephew all the time he needed to get himself together and eventually open up about whatever was bothering him. Roy let out a deep sigh after deciding not to waste any more of his uncle's time.

"I think I found my mate." He suddenly said in barely a whisper but thanks to his wolf senses Alan caught what he said.

"You think?.." He stared intently at Roy.

"I don't know. I don't know... Every time I look at her, the feelings I get feel right but then again, it feels wrong."

"And why is that?" Roy was now rubbing his hands over his face, hoping it would help calm the confused state he was in.

"I feel like I'm betraying my family and the promise I made to myself... You understand any of that?"

Alan stayed quiet letting his nephew continue because he could tell that that wasn't all Roy wanted to say.

"She's human." He finally confessed after much contemplation.

Alan could tell Roy was a bit disappointed, if not completely disappointed with the fact that his mate was human as he made the statement in what was barely a whisper.

"Roy, you should be thankful that you finally found your mate after so many years of waiting," his uncle eventually voices his opinion.

"You don't get it, do you? She's a fucking human! How is she supposed to help me run the pack when she's weak and defenseless?!" He yelled, his anger finally kicking in.

"That is not for you to worry about." Alan retorted.

"Really? When she is clueless about everything?... She hates me, uncle."

"Although she is human, she is still your mate and would feel even the slightest bit of attraction towards you."

"No, no, no. That's where you got it wrong... She hates me because I'm a werewolf and she's in love with a bloody human!" He countered, yelling the last part.

"And, do you know the worst part? She's hiding something... I swear I slowed my healing but I just can't understand what happened."

"What are you talking about?"Alan quickly asked in confusion as he couldn't make any sense of what his nephew was mumbling to himself.

"I had a cut the other day, so in order not to raise any suspicions, I slowed my healing process. She got worried and offered to dress it..."

"Go on, Roy..." His uncle encouraged him.

"It healed without my effort... It was like she used some sort of black magic but I didn't catch a scent of sorcery around her."

This new information perks Alan's interest who was more than willing to let Hugh's request wait a while longer until he got to the bottom of this.

"Take me to her."
