"Do you have to go?" Kimberly nervously asked as she watched Roy put on a black T-shirt.She dreaded the idea from the moment the words came out of his lips hours ago.
"Please don't go." She pleaded when she got no response to her previous question which only meant one thing.
"I have to," He replied confirming her fears.
Kimberly didn't like the idea, there was an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach like something terrible was going to happen.
"Please Roy, I don't want to lose you." She was already in tears.
Why was he acting like this wasn't much of a deal when she could feel an unbearable pain in her chest?
Taken aback by her sudden change in reaction, Roy stopped what he was doing on his phone and went to her. She had her back against his bedroom door while she sobbed.
"I'm not going there to die. I'm just going to have a word with him." He explained as he cupped her face with his hands.
"I-it's j-just... I have a feeling about this." She sobbed wrapping her arms around his torso, he returned the embrace and placed a kiss on her head as she cried into his chest.
Her sobs slowly turned into sniffles indicating that she had stopped crying but she wasn't letting go of him and he knew why. Roy knew Kimberly was scared of being left alone because of the stories she had heard about Hugh and there was no way he would leave her to be by herself that was why he asked his beta to remain here with a few of his warriors to guard his house and make sure nothing happens to his mate.
"Promise me you'll come back?" Kimberly suddenly asked in a whisper, pulling away from the hug so she could look into his eyes.
"I will. I promise." He calmly replied even though he felt otherwise, he had to act calm for her sake.
No werewolf would be willing to give up his mate like they meant nothing even if the lives of their pack members were at stake. So, there is no way in this world that the outcome of his meeting with Hugh would turn out positive.
He was brought out of his thoughts when he felt a pair of lips on his, not wasting any second, he kissed back. The kiss was tender, slow, sweet, and at the same time passionate. He could feel all her emotions in the kiss, her fear and desire causing him not to want to let go.
She snaked her arms around his neck to deepen the kiss and he used that as an opportunity to bite her lower lip, giving him access to explore her mouth. His tongue tasted every inch of her mouth as he was lost in its sweetness.
His hands slowly made their way down her waist and settled on her bum, he gave it a squeeze earning a moan from her. That beautiful sound drove his wolf crazy and in a matter of seconds, his lips were attacking her neck.
"R-Roy," she breathed, her knees going weak.
He continued placing open-mouthed kisses on her neck. When her grip on his hair tightened, he realized he had reached her sweet spot, so he didn't stop sucking on that spot, making her grow hot with pleasure. Her moans were causing his wolf to lose control. Just as he was about to mark her as his, he heard his uncle's voice through mind-link.
"Roy, we have to leave now," Alan said through mind-link ruining the moment.
Roy mentally cursed his uncle for preventing him from claiming what was his, but at the same time, he was glad he hadn't gone through with it because that would only mean he was taking advantage of her and he didn't want that. He hesitantly removed his lips from her neck.
"I have to go now." He quietly said, ignoring the disappointment in her eyes.
He placed a kiss on her forehead and walked out of the room, not bothering to look back because he would be tempted to stay if he did.
"Please come back to me." She whimpered, making her way to his bed where she cried to her heart's content.
Double update. Yay! 😃
