The sound of the alarm woke Roy up, he immediately turned the thing off so it would stop making that annoying noise. After blinking multiple times to get the sleep off his eyes, he felt something beside him. He turned his head to see what it was and saw his beautiful mate sound asleep, her beauty was incomparable and he couldn't be more proud to be mated to such a rare gem.

Roy couldn't help but stare at her neck where he had marked her last night. So it wasn't a dream? She was now completely his. He smiled to himself as he thought of last night. Her body molded perfectly with his like she was the missing piece he needed in his life to make him complete. The feeling was heavenly.

"Alpha?" Roy heard Elijah's voice call him through the mind link, interrupting his thoughts.

"What is it, Elijah?" He drily asked, not interested in whatever Elijah had to say, instead he wanted to spend his entire day worshipping his gorgeous mate.

"Oh my God! Alpha, I can't believe that you're awake!" Elijah excitedly exclaimed.

Roy could hear the surprise, excitement, and relief in his beta's voice.

"Where are you?" He asked already getting out of bed.

"I'm in your living room. I just got here. Everyone was scared that you weren't going to make it." Elijah explained.

"I'll be down in five," Roy said ending the conversation before going to the bathroom to do his business.

When he was done, he grabbed a pair of white sweatpants and a grey T-shirt. He placed a kiss on Kimberly's cheek before leaving the bedroom.

"Where is uncle?" Roy asked the moment he stepped into his living room.

"He is at home, alpha, but he'll be here soon," Elijah replied, staring at his cousin in complete shock.

How was he able to heal overnight after being injected with wolfsbane?

"Give him a call. Tell him I'm coming over," he said bringing Elijah out of his shock.

He immediately reached for his phone at Roy's request and called his dad, letting him know that Roy would be with him in a while. Alan was amazed to hear that Roy was already awake and couldn't wait to see him. After the call, Roy asked Elijah to stay behind just in case Kimberly woke up because he needed someone he could trust to be with her.

"Okay, alpha., Elijah replied but still had that shocked expression on his face. He contemplated whether or not to ask Roy how he healed so fast.

Roy, on the other hand, could read Elijah's thoughts through his facial expression and decided to clear the air since he was only aware that Kimberly was his mate.

"She's a healer." He said, answering whatever question Elijah was planning to ask.

"Oh!" Elijah exclaimed in realization.

"I'll see you in a bit," Roy said before walking out of the house.

"Roy! My boy, how did you do it?!" Was the first question his uncle Alan asked the moment he stepped out of his car, as he was already waiting outside for him?

"I didn't do anything, uncle," he replied, walking up to his uncle and joining him on the porch.

"I'm so sorry, Roy," Alan apologized, embracing Roy.

"None of it was your fault, uncle. Hugh has always been a coward."

"I thought I had lost you. I was so scared when Elijah called and told me what had happened... What I don't understand is how you're here, alive and unharmed." Alan wondered, inspecting Roy's body, searching for at least a scratch on him.

"It was all thanks to Kimberly," Roy quietly replied, causing his uncle to stop what he was doing.

"What did you say?" Alan asked, to be sure he heard Roy correctly.

"Kimberly healed me." He said still finding it hard to believe himself.

"When? Last night?... I don't get it. You were unconscious, at least that was what I saw." His uncle rambled.

"She did it, uncle... She practically brought me back to life, even I felt it."

Alan was about to say something when a tearful Christine walked out of the house, engulfing Roy in a tight hug.

"Oh my baby, I thought you were dead! You weren't waking up last night, I thought we had lost you!" she sobbed.

"Please, promise me you'll be more careful next time?"

"I will, aunt. I promise." Roy replied soothing his aunt until she stopped crying.

"How is Kimberly doing? Last night I could see it, she was in as much pain as you." Christine said when she was done crying. Roy was about to speak when she interrupted him.

"How in the world are you even alive and on your two feet?" Surprise and confusion were evident on her face.

"Kimberly and I completed our mating rites last night."

Christine's eyes went wide with surprise as the realization hit her. She couldn't believe that Kimberly would think about doing that, not to mention her doing it. That explains why he is alive and unharmed because with the state was in last night, he wouldn't have made it to this morning or he would probably have ended up in a coma.

"How is she at the moment?" Alan spoke up again, after staying quiet while his mate and nephew talked. He wanted to ask Roy this before Christine joined them.

"She was asleep when I left her," Roy replied.

"Are you certain she is asleep?" Alan worriedly asked.

"What's wrong, uncle?" His nephew asked with furrowed eyebrows, not understanding what his uncle was getting at.

"Female werewolves go weak and lose their healing powers for half a day after healing their mates, with cases like yours... What I'm trying to say is, that Kimberly is human, she could be unconscious." Alan made Roy understand.

Roy was shocked at this new information. Why didn't he think of that? Kimberly passed out while he was marking her. He had thought as a human she couldn't bear the pain, he forgot that she took all his pain, healed his wounds, and took in that venom called wolfsbane. God, he was so stupid! He needs to get back home and check on her, if necessary, call the pack doctor.

"Roy?" his uncle brought him back to earth.

"I need to go home." He suddenly said, heading for his car.

"We're coming with you." Alan and Christine followed after Roy, joining him in his car.

While driving back home, Roy couldn't help but have an uneasy feeling. He couldn't tell if it was because of the information he had just learned or because he was feeling guilty for thinking she was alright after what she did last night, but the only thing he could tell right now was there was an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach.

Alan and Christine decided not to say anything to Roy or try to comfort him because they knew how he was feeling at the moment, they knew he was probably blaming himself for everything and at the same time scared that something bad may have happened to her because of his carelessness. They only hoped that Kimberly was all right.

Roy didn't bother turning off the engine of his car before rushing out, leaving Alan and Christine behind as the strange and negative feeling he was having was getting worse. He ran into the house, not bothering to look for Elijah whom he had earlier left in his living room. He ran straight to his bedroom and never in his wildest dreams did he expect what he saw.

Can anyone guess what he saw? 🤔
