Thanksgiving for Tessa was just another day. Sure, this year she spent it with Simon and Lauren but it wasn't like when she spent it with her parents. She thought the same was going to be for Christmas and New Years. Yet, that changed when Lauren asked her to help. Tessa smiled as she placed the last condiment on the large dining room table. Tessa found that she enjoyed cooking, especially with Lauren."Looks great guys." Simon praised Lauren and Tessa. Lauren sat in her chair next to Simon and in front of Tessa as she leaned over, kissing Simons cheek.
A faint smile formed on Tessa's face as they all started eating. When her parents died she considered herself an orphan. She had no parents, no siblings and a Luke. Luke didn't make anything better, she considered him her only friend. After she met some real friends that changed, Luke was an enemy. He always was.
Yet, none of that is why she's smiling. She smiling because she now sees that she has a family. Even little Eric is sitting in his height chair next to Lauren. That brings her to also notice all her friends. There were the five one direction boys and the twins.
Lauren and Simon talked about the new band Simon took on while Eric giggled to himself. The baby grabbed chunks of food that his mother had placed in front of him. His giggles became louder as he practically shoves his whole hand into his mouth. Tessa chuckles silently to herself, looking back down to her plate as she stabs a piece of turkey and brings her fork up to her mouth.
Tessa's eyes land on her wrist when the sunlight from the window next to the table hits her bracelet. Her eyes run over the little charms while she chewed her food. Under the charmbracelet was her tattoo, instead of the black letters being the center of attention on her wrist the bracelet was. Her thoughts went back to those first two weeks with the boys.
The small skateboard that symbolized the day they went to the skatepark said Harry on the back. Tessa's mind immediately went back to that day. Harry had made her wear a helmet. It was probably the first day Harry had showed his sweet and caring side to her. Before that he had just been all excluded and annoyed.
Tessa's focus focused on the small teddy bear charm next to it. It had been from Niall, symbolizing their 'teddy bear talk'. Tessa chuckled to herself as she remembered that ridiculous conversation where they used teddy bears instead of boyfriends. The conversation had seemed stupid then, but now she sees that it was actually meaningful.
"What are you laughing at?" Simon said with sass laced through his voice. Tessa chuckled, she hadn't noticed that she had got their attention when she was thinking about the boys.
"Nothing." She smiles up at her uncle.
Simon smiled knowingly. "I'm thinking we should probably make our wedding a double wedding." Simon looks over to Lauren.
"Oh? I was thinking a triple wedding. Eleanor and Louis are so close I can feel it." Lauren says causing Tessa to almost cough.
Tessa started laughing, trying to cover her mouth. "Lauren," Tessa pauses to try to retain from laughing too hard. "That sounded... So wrong."
Simon started chuckling, understanding why it was funny. Lauren's face turned red when she caught on. She shook her head at her ridiculous family then looked to her son when he started squealing with laughter. She started laughing at her beyond weird family.
"So how is Niall is bed?" Lauren asks teasingly, causing Tessa's eyes to widen.
"Oh my god!" Tessa practically screamed as she dropped her fork with a clang and covered her face. "No!"
Simon threw his head back as his laughter roared and his eyes closed.
Lauren laughed louder at the sight of her boyfriend. Their son started squealing with excitement again. Tessa couldn't help but laugh at them all.
