"I didn't catch your name last time." Tessa blushes as she walks up to the man she had collided with a few days ago.

The man smiled as he turned to her. "Lance." He set the little boy down as he stood from his chair to tower over Tessa. Tessa had to strain her head back to look up at him. "I was wondering when I was going to see you around here again."

Tessa smiled, looking down to the ground as she blushed. He was thinking of her. "Oh? my clumsiness was that entertaining?" Tessa was delighted as she looked back up to his god like face.

"Yeah. I honestly couldn't stop thinking about you." Lance said. Tessa smiled, one blush blending into another.

"What about me?" Tessa urges, wanting to know just what he was thinking about.

Lance chuckled a low, husky chuckle. "You are beyond beautiful." She heard him say it, yet she couldn't believe she heard him say it. She blushed, unable to retain it any longer. "I was actually just about to go get something to eat. Would you accompany me?"

Tessa bite her lip to keep the grin from firming. Then her mind went to Niall, he was outside playing with the kids. "I'd love to." She knew it was probably rude to leave the friend that drove her there to himself, but she figured he'd understand. Right.

Lance smiled, joyed by her reply. "Well come on then."

Before they could leave Tessa explained that she had to let Niall know first. Lance said he'd be waiting in his car.

"Hey Tess," Niall said happily as he walked to the side of the basketball quirt, toward her.

Tessa tried to ignore how the boys stopped playing the game and watched Niall as he talked to her. Or how they were actually staring at her.

"Hey," Tessa's voice came out quiet as she glanced from Niall's face to the boys who watched them. She felt rather awkward.

Niall turned around, grinning. "Keep playing guys." He said so they would stop staring at Tessa. He would have to tell them later that she was taken, the thought passed his mind. He couldn't deliberately lie to them, no matter how much he didn't want them starring at her like that. He turned back around to Tessa as the boys started playing the game again. He smiled, seeing her happy face.

"I'm going to go get lunch with Lance. Is that okay? He'll drop me off at home when were done." She was asking him if it was okay but he knew he couldn't exactly say 'no' without a reason, could he? There most deffinatlly was a reason, just not one she would understand at the moment. He mentally shook his head at his thoughts.

"Lunch?" Niall asks, hoping and half praying that its just a friendly lunch. But then he actually noticed her face. She was smiling widely at the thought of lunch with lance. Not to mention her hair was shining in the sun, her eyes a butter scotch brown and her pale face glowing. There was no way a guy could have a 'friendly' lunch by themselves with her. "Isn't he a little old for you? You just met him, he could be a killer."

"Yes, when's he's not volunteering at the orphanage, he's a murderer." Tessa rolls her eyes at his ridiculous questions. "And way does age matter? He's not that much older then me."

"Tess." Niall sighed. He didn't want her to go, of course he didn't. But it was more then that, he didn't want her going off by herself with the lad because he was ligit scared for her safty. Not to mention he didn't know what her uncle would do if he found out he let Tessa go. "You just met him."

Tessa chuckles, figuring Niall's just being an over protective friend. "Ni, it's just lunch. I'll see you at home." Tessa smiles, her hand raising to playfully punch his arm. Then she started to walk away.
