Chapter 9 boizzzz

How u enjoy

All lingering doubt that Todoroki liked Izuku was completely cleared out of his mind not long after their kiss. He was more sure than ever, he loved Izuku. And though he had worked out his feelings he still desperately wanted to know what Izuku felt towards him. He could practically image the red invisible string of fate straightened and knot free on his side but frayed and tied in thick lumps on Izuku's. (Though he wasn't sure if there was really a red string of fate, it had always been a theory amoungst younger kids) Anyways, Todoroki knew Izuku still had so much to process, to sort out, and Todoroki decided that he needed space for that. But it didn't stop him from looking at his fellow classmate.

When ever he got the chance, he took in every characteristic, his green fluffy hair, his freckles, his emerald eyes. He was breathtaking. If Todoroki picked out one thing he liked the most about his new found feelings, it was that he was allowed to think things like that—that he was breathtaking. He had this clarity, that he never did before. He could sit and admire Izuku for how ever long he wanted, and he didn't need an excuse. Because he harbored these feelings for him, and he knew it, and he wasn't in denial or anything of the sort. He was at peace.

Perhaps this is why when Todoroki had finally worked out his feelings he felt very relieved. He finally didn't have to push down the thoughts that constantly popped in his head. He could just unconditionally love his soulmate without any problems what so ever. And often he took advantage of that. And then other times he wished Izuku would noticed Todoroki's gaze. That he would turn over blushing and confused, and meet his eyes. But that never really happened.

Now don't get Todoroki wrong, it was impossible not to notice Izuku staring at him. The way he would shift his legs uncomfortably, fidgeting around with his fingers, he then would glance over his shoulder and before he realized it had been a few minutes, and he harshly ripped his head back in embarrassment, it was adorable. But Todoroki had never turned around and met his stare. He still wanted to respect his initial rule to give Izuku space, for as long as he needed it. Which is why it was an impossible situation for the whole following week, Todoroki desperately wanted to talk. And finally after one whole week had passed, he decided he would try.

"Hey, Midoriya?" Todoroki approached him cautiously while he was packing his bag.

He had just let out a quite loud sigh, and said unconsciously, "Oh, hi Todoroki." After he finished muttering the words, Todoroki could see his expression change in a snap, going from tired to panicked, realizing who he was talking to. Todoroki was starting to wonder if this was a mistake. But what was he supposed to do every time Izuku looked at him? He desperately felt the need to clear up his feelings. How much longer was he gonna force himself to wait if he didn't say something now?

"W-w-w-what's up?" Izuku asked, looking away with a bright red face, for sure a more Izuku like reaction.

"I think we need to talk, it's been a week and nothings going to be solved if we're just sitting around." Todoroki stated, not feeling like beating around the bush.

"Haha, well... Maybe later?" He suggested, practically staring a hole through his poor yellow backpack. "I, uh, have plans today." Izuku offered the lie, and swung his pack over his shoulder, zipping around Todoroki and out the class before Todoroki could do anything. He was almost sprinting, and it was enough to make Todoroki feel guilty. He had to shake his head and tell himself, as a way to comfort his growing stomach ache, that he didn't do anything wrong, and now he knows to give Izuku more time.

Meanwhile Izuku had slowed down to shuffling his feet around underneath him, slowly  making his way to his dorm room. He paused and leaned against a wall, using his backpack as a cushion of sorts, then he let out a long tired sigh. God he was tired of running away from Todoroki. They used to be pretty close friends, but now they were torn apart by the knowledge of this connection. Izuku really wished he could just settle his racing heart down, he immediately assumed was because of his previous sprinting, and act natural. But thinking about being natural just made him less natural.

Why did he even run out like that? He didn't have any real reason, I mean sure he did for avoiding him, but did he really have to sprint? And even though he's had a few minutes to calm down, why was his heart still beating so fast? And his face was burning... He crumpled to the floor, hold his head in his hands, god why did he have to have feelings like this? What even was this feeling? He had never felt like this before, never suffered from the same symptoms.

He leaned his head back against the wall, shifting one of his hands to cover his pounding heart, the other free one moved to snake his fingers through his hair, pushing his curly green bangs back a bit. He took deep breaths, his mind automatically wondering over to Todoroki after finding nothing else to think about. Todoroki seemed to be default now, but he had been for a week now hadn't he?

"God, why did I leave like that...?" Izuku asked the no one, almost wanting some thing to answer back, handing him the solution to his possibly unsolvable problem. 'Because you like him' he imagined the the voice would say. And at this point Izuku wouldn't even struggle, he would just accept it, because he was starting to realize that he couldn't avoid the inevitable. He really like him didn't he? "Haha..." Izuku let out a strangled laugh, feeling tears gathering in his eyes. His vision blurred. "Fuck..." he looked down. Feelings were so hard to deal with.

He wiped is tears after realizing they were falling rapidly down his face. Why was he even this upset? Shouldn't he be brimming with happiness? He found his soulmate, and that soulmate loved him, and he guessed he, himself, loved him back. So what's the problem? He wasn't sure... he really had no idea. God he was so stupid. He cried harder, using his whole sleeve to wipe tears and snot from his face. He needed to talk to Todoroki.

U like? I think we're getting close to smutty times hehe

Well peace out my dudes
