Bang!
Roya and Arawn jumped awake at the sound of the heavy metal door, banging loudly against the stone walls. Two guards with gold helmets and bronze armor with polished gold spears and shields entered the room. Roya looked at Calypso. Calypso looked at Andrel. Andrel looked at Arawn. Arawn looked at Roya.
"What's going on?" Roya mouthed to Calypso.
Calypso shrugged. They all got to their feet, and attempted to look presentable.
"We proudly present," the guards' voices echoed throughout the room. "Damien Norak, the Bringer of Darkness and Saviour of Miraelin!"
"Oh great," Roya thought. "We were captured by a Miraelian. We're done for"
A man stepped through the door, seemingly emerging from shadows. He had jet black eyes. He was dressed in black and gold, with boots that clanged as he walked. His face was scarred, twisted and black. Burn marks. His hair, to Roya's shock, was white, like frozen lightning. It was spiked up, and stood out against his dark body.
Roya thought he looked vaguely familiar.
"Hello, hello, hello," Damien said. "I am pleased to welcome you. When I'm done with you, I will be very rich, and you will be very dead." To Roya's disgust, she could see a forked tongue.
"Half breed," she thought. "Half snake, half faerie...I wonder how that happened."
It was obvious Calypso and Arawn were trying to figure out how that happened as well. She could almost hear the gears in their head turning.
Damien leaned in close to her face, and gave Roya an evil smile. "You darling, pack quite the punch."
Roya gasped, and stumbled backwards. Her mind was screaming. "It's him! It's him! He killed your mother! He tried to kill you!"
"Murderer," she whispered.
"Wait, who is that?" Calypso asked. "You know him?"
"It's you," Roya said. "You set off the rowan bomb, you-you RUINED MY LIFE," she screamed.
"Roya, who is that? What are you talking about?" Arawn asked, gliding over to her, and putting his hands on her shoulders.
"He killed my mother," Roya said, staring off into nothing behind Arawn's shoulder. Her eyes flicked towards his. His green eyes, the worried look on his face that Roya watched turn to anger. Roya's heart beat faster just looking at him. He whirled around, shoved her behind him, and drew a sword that wasn't there. Their weapons had been confiscated. Roya was without her bow, Andrel without his dagger, Arawn without his sword, Calypso without her—.
Calypso without her nothing. A huge orb of blue water, rose from her hands, the blue gems on the side of her face glowing brightly. Her purple eyes, blazing with vengeance. She reeled back her arms...
Damien's eyes widened in surprise.
"Wait!" Roya called. Calypso hesitated.
"What do you mean 'wait'!?" Andrel exclaimed.
"Wait," Roya said, stepping forward slowly, her nose up. Arawn was gawking at her, Calypso was looking at her with annoyed confusion, water still hovering above her hands.
"You weren't burnt when I last saw you," Roya said. "Who was so powerful, they were able to do this to you?"
"Don't play dumb with me, Princess," Damien hissed. "You know damn well who did this to me. You know."
Roya was confused, but didn't show it. Unfortunately, she didn't need to. The look of shock on Damien's face was enough. "You really don't know?" He asked trying to hide his bewilderment, and failing miserably.
