I'm getting ready for Sabrina's birthday party that happens tonight at her house. I'm dress in a black costume who is thigh in the chest and then floats around my waist. It was little bows near my chest area. It's simple yet cute.
"Are you ready, Princess?" Caliban is leaning against my bedroom door.
"Ready." I nod. He refuses to wear a costume. Instead he's wearing a gray t-shirt with his jeans. May not be the dress code but he looks hot.
He teletransport us to the morgue in Sabrina's house. I will never get used with my best friend having a morgue on her home, it's too creepy and I live in Hell so...
I climb the stairs with Caliban and I see a lot of Baxter's students dancing with the blast of the music. I find Sabrina dancing really close to Nick and they seem so happy. I run to the middle of Theo, Roz and Harvey and hug them, and start dancing freely like a crazy person.
After some songs, I noticed that I haven't see Caliban in a while. I search the room with my eyes and find the blonde prince leaning against a door, watching me. I leave my friends and come closer to him. He looks sad and before I can ask anything he speaks.
"You miss the mortal life." He states, looking down.
"Yeah... Of course I do, this was my life until a couple of months ago." I smile.
"And you were forced to abdicate her. You look happier in here than you ever looked in Hell. Are you unhappy in hell with me?"
"What?! No! Caliban." He looks at me. "You make me happier, okay? I may not like Hell, but I do like being with you." I admit and he smirks, then he kisses me passionately, catching me off guard.
"That's right! You go girl!" I hear Roz shouts from the other side of the room and I smile while kissing Caliban.
"Come!" I grab his hand and I push him to the middle of the room, putting my arms around his neck and slowly dancing with him.
"You know that I don't do mortal stuff, right?" He whispers in my ear.
"You do now. The queen of Hell needs her king to dance." I smile and he rolls his eyes.
"I can imagine other mortal things that the queen and king of hell may do." He teases me.
"Yeah?" I play along.
"Way funnier that dancing." He smirks.
"Oh Caliban, I didn't know you like cooking." I mock him and he rolls his eyes.
"Seriously, Princess?" He asks and I smirk. "Maybe I'll have to show you what I'm talking about."
When the song ends, Caliban takes me out of the house, to the forest behind it.
"What are we doing here?" I lift an eyebrow.
"Are you afraid, Princess?" He smirks. It can't be good.
"Maybe." I say and he squishes my hand.
"Look up." He demands and I obey. The sky is full of stars, but they are not the usual stars. They are a warm gold, almost red and they start moving and blinking and then they fall from the sky to our location.
"What's happening?" I smile. "Why are they falling?"
"I may have learnt a new spell, or two." He confesses.
"You made this?" I smile.
"It's a gift, for my lover." He whispers in my ear and I shiver.
"And who might that be?" I smirk and he pushes me closer, kissing me gently.
"My wife." I smile.
That night I slept in his bedroom cuddling around my blonde prince, and husband, and I never slept better in my life.
The next morning Sabrina showed up on my chambers.
"Is everyone decent?" She asks, covering her eyes.
"Caliban has already left, Brina." I smile and she laughs.
"Thank the D-, actually thank the Dark Queen. I didn't want to see your boyfriend naked." She says.
"Well you would be very please with that view."
"I DON'T WANT TO KNOW." She shouts and I laugh.
"So, what do I owe the honor of your visit?" I smile.
"Nothing. I just wanted to thank you for showing up yesterday, I know that being Queen of Hell must be busy."
"I will always have time for my best friend." I grab her hand tight. "Any news about Lucifer?" I ask her, now in a more serious tone.
"I wasn't able to find anything. Everyone in the Academy is searching but no sign of him. I ask Ambrose to use every location spell he knows but nothing works." She lowers her eyes.
"I'm worried about what we will might do to me and Caliban." I confess.
"So, the thing between you and Caliban are like, serious?" She asks, making me confuse.
"Yeah?" I frown. "I married the guy so... I would say it's pretty serious, Brina."
"I know you married him, but I thought it was for political reasons, not because you actually had feelings for him. But last night you two were very cozy... to say the least." She says and I'm not happy with her.
"Sabrina I really like him, like, you and nick "like"." I speak out. "I'm not with Caliban for political reasons, to be honest, I think I never was with him for that." I confess, I never realized that before. "I think I'm in love with him." The words just left my mind, without processing logic or anything else.
"Wow, like, really?" She asks, with a strange expression on her face.
"Yeah.. Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask, kinda mad.
"I just never thought that Caliban would be the boyfriend type, you know?" I lift my eyebrow, not happy with what she was implying. "Come on, Serena. He came after us because of the throne and proposed to you as a way to reach it."
"In the beginning maybe, but ever since that day he has proving himself to be trustful and caring. He didn't have to save me any of those times, but he did that anyway. You are wrong about him, Brina, he's one of the most incredible people I ever meet and I'm with him, for real." I state, boldly, mad with my best friend. "I thought you, better that anyone, would understand that." She looks hurt by my words.
"What do you mean?"
"Seriously, Brina? Nick? He literally was the bad-est boy of the Academy, signed with Lucifer to get close to you, had a tone of lovers... How different was he from Caliban?" She frowns and stays quiet. "Exactly."
"I'm sorry, S." She says. "Maybe I should give more credit to Caliban." She rolls her eyes.
"Maybe you should." I say. "I need to go now; I will talk to you later." I leave my room leaving Sabrina there. It wasn't polite but I was really mad at her for judging Caliban so harshly when Nick wasn't much different from him when we met him.
