I wake up abruptly by a wave of screams. Caliban is not by my side anymore.  I get up of his bed and go find where the sound comes from.

When I enter the throne room, I see Lucifer standing next to the throne. My throne. And then I see Caliban chained to the ground.

"Oh, my sweet daughter, you finally arrived!" He smiles. I hated his diabolical smile. "Come in. The Queen of Hell, the daughter that betrayed her own flesh." I can't stop looking at Caliban, laying on the floor, stuck. He's hurt, I can see it, despite his inability of bleeding.

"Caliban." I call him. He looks at me.

"Oh, what are my eyes seeing. I can't believe, Serena, what a disappointment you are. You actually have feelings for that piece of dirt."

"Don't call him that!" I warn him.

"Even when you are in disadvantage, you keep making threats. You and Sabrina are definitely my daughters." He laughs and the chains pull Caliban closer to the ground, and he groans. "Worse than have feelings for him was making him King of Hell!"

"Stop it!" I ask.

"I wonder, which punishments I will endure to this demon. Maybe I will let him burn enough so I can find out if clay does melt." He keeps teasing me, and then, with a movement, he provokes pain to Caliban.

"Please, stop it!" I beg and run towards Caliban, kneeling next to him and protecting him with my body.

"Oh, my child, I can't believe that I thought that you could take my place. After I finish with the clay, claimed prince, maybe I will let you have the broken pieces of him."

"Please, father." I say with bitterness in my tongue. "Let him go. I protected your throne when Sabrina didn't want it, I protected the Morningstar's name and did what you wished. Just let him go. Please."

"You are too soft, child. I shouldn't expect more from a mortal." He teases me.

"I'll do anything." The words just stumble from my mouth. They were true, I just didn't want to believe my feelings.

"No! Serena, don't do it. Get out of here! RUN, please." Caliban begs in my ear. "He will trick you and use you. Run!" Caliban looks at my eyes, he's full of fear.

"You would trade the control of Hell for a demon? Who isn't even made of flesh and bone? You are pathetic." He starts to laugh. "Say it out loud."

"I, Serena Morningstar, give up my throne and my reign, to Lucifer Morningstar, making him King of Hell." He smiles at me.

"Finally." He smirks. "You are a disappointment, Serena. And do you know the best part of all this? It was actually Caliban's idea." My hearts frozen.

"What? What are you talking about?!" I look to the boy next to me, who won't look me in the eyes, and I know that my father isn't lying.

"You see, your dear mud lover, was the one who had the brilliant idea of using someone you love against you. Of course he wasn't expected to be me using his plan. And less alone himself as the bait."

"No." I say under my breath and step away from Caliban.

"It was before everything." He says. "I never thought that I would care for someone as I care for you." I can't answer, I start gasping for air. "Serena, please..."

I hold my own body, hoping not to break in front of the entire council. I mutter some words and fell in my chambers floor. Tears stream down my face, and I bite my own hand so the screams can't leave my mouth. Something inside me broke, and I stopped trying to hold on.

My father appeared in my chambers few minutes later to take me prisoner. I remember seeing his mouth moving but I couldn't hear a word. I was paralyzed. I've never felt that way before, and I had lost everything before. But it was different this time, my parents hadn't abandoned me or betrayed me, they just, died.

I'm dragged to a cell, where I just sit against the wall. All I feel is a void, and it hurts me so much that I don't want to feel anymore. A few seconds later Caliban is dragged to the cell next to me. I hear him trying to talk to me, but I just couldn't hear him.

I remember laying on that cell for hours, barely moving at all, wrapped around myself.

"You can make it stop; you know?" Lilith appears in front of me. Caliban stands up for his spot.

"Get away from her." He warns her.

"The traitor speaks. You are lucky that she begged for your life before she knew what you did." She says, like poison. "Serena, listen to me." I look at her. "If you let the evil take control you won't feel any pain, not anymore, not ever again." She says. "Turn your mortal side off and let the evil you out. It will make the pain go away."

"Don't do it, Serena! She's is tricking you. It will change who you are in cost of everything." Caliban says. "Please, Princess, I never intend to hurt you, it was before-"

"Before what? Before I made you King or before we had sex?!" I shout at him "Take it away, please." I beg to Lilith. She nods at me.

"Surrender yourself to the darkest part of you, let it all in. Let the darkness take the pain away." She explains.

I did the same as in the past, back on Cesar's reign, I let the dark part of me show up and I don't feel any pain after that. I don't feel anything. I'm free of the mortal side of me. I'm free from all the pain.

Just like that something inside me disappeared, like magic. Lucifer's enters the dungeons and looks at Lilith.

"Did she do it?" He asks her.

"Yes." She mumbles.

"And how do you feel, darling?" He smiles.

"I feel- - Like I shouldn't be here. Am I the daughter of the king of hell or not?" He smiles.

"Yes, you sure are." He answers and opens the door of my cell. "Come now, Hell is waiting for his Queen."

"And what should we do with him?" Lilith points to Caliban.

"Let him rot. See if I care." I said and continue to walk. Caliban's pain didn't mean anything to me.
