Losing

Quentin's POV

This isn't going to end well. I thought to myself as I stood up after getting hit for the thousandth time.

Every single part of me hurts, physically and emotionally because deep down, I know it's a battle that we are not going to win.

"Beck whats happening over there? Is everything under control? Sam asked through the communicating device.

"Yeah,yeah I am good, definitely not dying" I said as I blasted off another one of those creatures.

I flinched as I heard a loud explosion followed by Vision falling from the building.

"Somebody get Vision!"

"I'm on it" Wanda said, panicking.

"Thor?!" Steve said in shock.

"Wait what how?" I said in confusion and also excitement because duh, its Thor!

I heard loads of explosions afterwards. I was slightly relieved because Thor, the god of thunder was here. We are definitely in good hands.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw a huge figure roughly a couple hundred foot in front of me.

Oh god, its him

"He's here" Was all i could say. I froze completely, in fear, because I know if I tried to run, he would notice me.

All that I could think of was what did he do with (y/n) and the rest of them.

The thought of him hurting her sparked anger in me.

Screw it, I'm fighting this son of a bitch.

"Beck, keep your distance and be careful, we are on our way"

I did not respond to the instruction as I slowly approached him.

I know he noticed me, but what the hell was he up to?

"Beck, did you hear me? Stay out of the way or you're going to get hurt!"

I let out a scream of pain as i felt a strong blast hitting me.

"You thought you could fight me? Pathetic" Thanos said as he walked in front of me.

I groaned as I tried to stand up, but only resulting in him hitting me again.

"What the hell did you do to (y/n)?!" I asked angrily.

He chuckled as he clenched his fist, revealing five infinity stones. "Let's just say they lost"

I hit he ground and then blasted him, causing him to flinch.

"How much more pathetic can you get?" He grinned.

"I've defeated the supposedly strongest member of you team, or should I say your lover. Ah, I wonder how is she right now. Strong girl, stubborn but I liked her. Too bad she had to go that way"

My heart sank as I heard those words.

"You son of a bitch!" I yelled at him, trying to hold on to my tears.

Deep down I was hoping that he is just messing with my head. (y/n) is strong, she won't give up easily,I just know it.

But what if he wasn't lying?

I saw Wanda approaching behind him, with anger in her eyes.

"Lets get this over with" She said in a monotonous voice.

They fought for a while before Vision appeared.

"Vision leave!" Wanda screamed.

"Wanda, go with Vision now!" Steve exclaimed. She hesitated but eventually wen't with Vision, away from Thanos.

Steve ran towards me and helped me out.

"We need to distract him" He said.

I nodded.

T'Challa and Bucky also came towards us.

Thanos was angry and begin to approach us.

"Well it was nice meeting you guys" Bucky said.

Wanda's POV

"Come on Vision we need to go back to the lab" I said as I fought off another one of those disgusting creatures.

He stopped in his tracks.

"Vis we don't have time, Thanos is----"

"Wanda" He cut me off.

"I think we both know what's bound to happen" He said calmly.

I shook my head. "No, I don't but we can't give up"

My eyes were red as I pushed away my negative thoughts.

I approached him, but he took a step back.

I looked at him with fear and confusion.

He was beaten up badly and I know he was in pain. And I can't bear looking at him like that.

I walked towards him slowly.

He cupped my cheeks. "I need you to do me a favour"

I closed my eyes for a few seconds, trying to calm myself.

"You need to destroy this stone, Wanda" I looked at him and shook my head vigorously.

"No,I'm not doing that" I begin to panic.

"We both know he is strong, and if he gets the final stone, we lose this battle"

"Vis there must be a better way to do this please" I know my tears were about to fall.

"We don't have time Wanda, I love you" He smiled softly.

"I love you" I said as I begin to cry.

"We can't hold him off much longer!" Steve said.

I looked at Vision as he kneeled in front of me.

"Its okay" He held my hand.

"I only feel you"

Quentin's POV

I looked in fear as Thor hit his huge hammer almost through Thanos' arm.

Their conversation was unhearable but we all looked in fear as Thanos snapped his fingers, causing a bright explosion.

I shielded myself and Bucky who was behind me.

Seconds later, I heard Thor yelling. "What did you do?!" as he watched Thanos disappear.
