Biana's POV
"C'mon, Man," I hear my boyfriend telling Keefe. "Man up already and—," he gets cut off by a "Shhhhh" "What?" Dex says. "I can sense another presence here." Keefe tells him. "Biana?" He continues, half whispering. I appear to a duet of gasps. "What are you doing here?" Keefe practically explodes. "Sooooo, what were you two talking about?" I question them, ignoring Keefe's own curiosity as to what I was doing there. Keefe sighs, and reluctantly said, "We should tell her she'll just keep bugging us."
He takes a deep breath and said, "I'm thinking of proposing to Sophie." I gasp and start to say, "but she's-" "Yeah, Yeah, I know she is unmatchable, and therefore a bad match, but I love her and I don't care about that. She's the best thing that happened in my life." Keefe says, cutting me short.
"Wow" I say, completely flabbergasted. I never knew that Keefe was this deep. He is always joking around.this, this was new for him. "I completely support you, but i think that you should re-ask the council for Sophie to be able to get her match lists again, just in case all of this is avoidable." I say, hoping to make some valid points.
"Ok." He agrees. After a few seconds. I was again taken aback. I had expected him to argue. "Well, okay then. I'll hail Councillor Bronte because he likes Sophie the most, and Keefe, you can hail Councillor Oralie." I say. "You guys are forgetting about me." Dex pipes up, his voice sounding hurt. "Ok, you can go to the Matchmakers, and ask them to see if they can match her even without her biological parents." Keefe answers him. "I think that this is very unlikely, so we might want to prepare to be disappointed." I say.
~~~Dex's POV~~~
I leap to the Matchmakers' main building and go to the main desk in the front. To my shock, I see Lihn there. "What are you doing here!?" I exclaim, not caring that I was causing a commotion. "Would you please keep your voice down sir, you are disrupting this facility." She says, in a monotonous voice. "I need to speak with someone who works here." I whisper. "I do work here. May I help you?" She responds sarcastically. "Can we speak somewhere private?" I ask her. "Of course" she says.
"First of all, WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU HERE?!" I yell, not bothering to keep my voice down. She doesn't even flinch. "I needed a job, and this seemed like an interesting one. Plus, I wanted to make the world a better place." She evenly explains.
"Oh." I say, stupidly. I need to get back on track. "So, can Sophie get her scrolls without her biological parents? Specifically, her dad?" I ask. "Well generally, we only need one so, yes. But you will need permission from the Council and the head Matchmaker." She replies, sounding excited now. Let's go! I scream in my head. "I'll be right back." I explain, and feel the light sweep me away.
~~~Keefe's POV~~~
I wish Dex would hurry up and get back already. I need to know what the Matchmakers' said. Bronte and Oralie birth agreed on the condition that the matchmakers would be able to fill out the application. I feel hope starting to rise up within me, and this time, I don't try to quench it. I believe that the Matchmakers will be able to do this. In the meantime, I hail Sophie.
"Show me Sophie Foster." I command. A few seconds later her face pops up on the screen. "Get dressed for a fancy place, and I'll pick you up." I say. What's wrong? Are you alright?" She worriedly asks. "Yeah, of course Foster," I say with a smirk. "I'm taking you out on a date tonight." I say. "Cool. See you when?" She asks, after a slight hesitation. "Soon." I promise her.
