Biana's POV
"Hey Linh, have you seen either Sophie or Keefe? I can't seem to find them." I say. "No actually. Have you seen Wylie? I have to talk about something with him." "Yeah, actually, I think I saw Tam talking to him by the snack table." I smirk, knowing what they were probably talking about. "Oh, I guess I'll just go find them!" She says brightly. I'm left to my thoughts for a few seconds before I decide that this is a party and that I should be having fun. I shrug, and try to find Sophie and Keefe.
I accidentally glance out the window, and see them standing under Calla's tree, and my heart breaks a little. I guess I will never be over Keefe, even though I'm dating and love Dex. But I'm happy for Sophie if it means that she is no longer oblivious about Keefe's not-so-little crush on her.
Now where is Dex? I think to myself. I stand on my tiptoes and search the room. I see him talking with Marella. I walk over there, and say "hey guys. We made it!" As I reach them, Dex wraps his arm around my waist. I lean into the warmth. "We are officially adults!" Marella exclaims. She was allowed to stay in the elite levels because the council lifted the ban on pyrokinetics, if they received proper training. "Can I talk to you?" Marella asks me. "Of course." I say with a smile. "Cmon."
"I need your advice. I like tam, and I don't know how to tell him." She nervously tells me. "My only advice is be yourself, and if he doesn't like you for who you are then he isn't worth it." It's really old, but still solid advice. "O-Kay then" she replies. "Just wait. I'll ask him later. Completely hypothetical of course." I say, adding that last part to reassure her. She brightens. "Thank you!" Marella exclaims. "You're the best!"
I strut over to where Linh is trying to placate Tam. "Come here. Now." I say to him. "What do you want?" he questions me. "Tell me who you like." I demand, then realize that that may be too unreasonable. Whatever, in too deep now. "Come on, you haven't dated anyone at Foxfire, in the past 5 years!" he bows his head in defeat. "Fine, I like———" "Awwwww" I say.
