Chapter 10

The next day came and Mattia really didn't want to go to school. Mostly because of the fight him and Kairi had over the weekend. Mattia got out of the car and started walking to the entrance. He got some stares from others but chose to ignore it. He opened the door to the grand hallway and stepped inside the swarm of people. He got out of the traffic and stepped aside to an almost empty room.

"Why did you call me here :)" said an almost too familiar voice. Mattia once again had to hide in circumstances like these. "I needed to tell you something" said the voice that Mattia absolutely hated. It was Chase, not only that, he was with Noen. "Well,,, im all ears" Noen said with a bright smile. Chase's face softened and a small sweet smile plastered across his face. Mattia was shocked to see this side of Chase, maybe he wasn't so bad after all. "Remember when you asked me a while ago who I liked?" Chase began, his face turning a bright pink as he tried to grab Noen's hand. But before Chase could say any more, Noen began. "Oh, that? Yeah I found out you're dating Charli man! Like i'm kinda hurt that you didn't tell me. But like it's all good now." Noen nudged Chase's arm. "Wait- Noen ac-" Chase tried to speak again but Noen's voice was fast and anxious. "Well , I also got someone special in my life too! Her name is Abbie ❤" Noen grabbed both of Chase's hands and squeezed them tight, staring off to the ceiling as he kept trailing off "she's so pretty, and perfect" Noen looked back at Chase, and hugged him tight, "anyways i should get going, I know I can always count on you Chase" and with that Noen leaves, leaving a broken Chase behind in the classroom.

Small weeps came from the broken hearted boy, Mattia staring in disbelieve as the kid that bullied him for having the heart ache did the exact same thing. "Fucking pathetic" Mattia said but in a much sympathetic tone than what Chase had used on him the first time. Chase turned to look up at the italian boy, with sore eyes he chuckled sadly. "You caught me" Chase wiped his tears and approached Mattia. "Look man, I'm sorry I-" Mattia awkwardly hugged chase "it's alright, I know it must be hard the things between you and Noen" Chase let out a small sob "I love Charli I do- but I just love Noen more, plus ever since her and Dixie started talking to this person they've been acting different, they want to ruin plans" mattia looked at Chase for a bit. "Is that what the whole Emma thing is about." Mattia parted from the weird hug and crossed his arms. Chase nervously fiddled with his fingers and laughed. "Yeah, she's one of Charli's friends, they are planning something, and Emma is gonna go as far as she can with the whole plan, I went along with it because she said if I didnt something bad would happen to-" chase eyes widened in terror. He started to tremble. "Charli! She has eyes everywhere, if she finds out I tried talking to him he's a goner!" Chase grabbed both of Mattia's shoulders and shaked him frantically. "I won't let that happen to him okay" mattia reassured Chase and patted him on the back.

The bell rang some time after so Mattia and Chase walked down the hallway together talking about things that have been happening like they've been friends for ages. "The video exposing you dude, that was crazy!" Chase chuckled as he playfully punched Mattia on the arm. "Yeah it's crazy" Mattia couldn't deny it, he had fun. "Good thing he was excellent in bed" Mattia laughed as he pointed a gun finger towards Chase. Then felt a side push from someone. He was pissed off until he turned to see who it was passing by. Kairi.

Kairi heard everything he said, about the blonde guy being good in bed. FUCK. Mattia thought as he bit his nails in class, he was panicking. Mattia felt Kairi's stare at the back of his head, he tried to ignore it but it was so bothersome he had to turn around. Catching Kairi in the act and giving him a glare. But then softening his look, he's put Kairi through so much already. It wouldn't be right....would it?

After school came quickly, both boys ignoring each other, refusing to even acknowledge their existence. Mattia just wanted to hug Kairi and kiss him, he was about to yesterday, he just couldnt bring himself to it. All this is happening because of Mattia being stupid. He shouldve never tried to get closer to Kairi, it would never work. Mattia sobbed at the thought of never being able to be with Kairi. It was true. Kairi would never go his way, it was too good to be true.
