It All Started With Stargazing

"Hi, Coles," Al said and hugged me from the back. I hugged her back and that is when Soph said, "I'm here too. And Al laughed and signalled her to join in.

"So what are we doing now?"

"Shopping," Soph exclaimed the same time I shrugged. Al looked at me and I knew what they were going to do next.

"Please, Coles. It will be fun."

"No." Unlike other girls, I had no interest in shopping whatsoever. I would rather spend the whole day reading a good ole book with cold coffee and a blanket.

"Oh Please."

"No. I am so not shopping."

"I will buy you a waffle."

"And a book." Now that caught my attention.

"Promise."

"Pinky Promise." They both said. And the next moment, I was dragging them to the Norris Recreation Mall.

"Is it done, now?" I exclaimed and looked at the watch. Damn it, it had been three freaking hours since we had been here and these hooligans with me don't think that it is enough.

"This will look wonderful on you, Chloe. This is the one for you." I sighed in irritation.

"Oh come on, we are going to buy you a waffle and a book, just look at this."

So I looked up and what laid in front of my eyes was fabulous. It was a black dress that stopped a bit above my eyes. It had a devilish type of thing in the middle which will be at my waist probably if I wear it. And it did not have a deep V cut, to my relief. It had a collar type of thing. The dress was half-sleeved. And damn, was it good. Al and Soph had already bought their dresses and were wearing them, not thinking of taking them off anytime soon.

"Now, will you wear it?" Al said smirking. I huffed and went into the changing room. I changed into the dress and damn was it looking beautiful. It was actually the one for me. It was simple and a bit of it was devilish which the one thing I love was. Plus it was black and that was the cherry on the top.

I remembered I once said to Niles when he was Bug, that Black was my colour. I smiled at myself. And then he said, it really was.

I smiled fondly when Niles came to my mind. I stepped out of the changing room and Al and Soph both gasped.

"You look stunning," Al said and Soph nodded.

"Damn, that boyfriend of yours is not going to be able to look anywhere else when you wear this." At the mention of my boyfriend, my face fell down.

"Hey, what happened? Something happened between you guys?"

I knew I couldn't hide this from them for much longer. So I told them. "Since these last few days, he hadn't snuck into my room or we haven't stargazed or he hasn't kissed me but I guess that is fine right?"

"Yeah, completely. Right, Al?"

"Totally." Al agreed and this made my heart sink a little bit deeper than before.

I was about to go into the changing room again when they stopped me, "Oh, Chloe Noah Brown, you are not changing. And anyway, we are going on a date. Girls' night out." I just nodded knowing there was no way I would win and plus, this dress was good too.

We went to the cashier and she told us the bill. "$37." I took out my wallet but instead I got some money in return from the cashier.

"I'm sorry but why are you giving me these?"

"Oh, your bill had already been paid by Niles Brown." I looked at the girls.

"Niles wanted to buy a dress for you but he thought it would be better if we helped you." It was a good move but I wished he would have been here except for them. It wasn't like I don't love the girls but the gift was from him so he should be here.

I nodded nevertheless and we got out of the mall. "Now?" I asked. It was already getting dark considering it was winter.

"We are going to a restaurant," Soph said and I and Al sat in the car. We didn't discuss which restaurant cause we both knew that Soph would not tell us and anyway, she knew what would sell the thing we like.

"We are here." Soph declared. We stepped down and saw that we were in the middle of a Jungle.

"What are we do-" I was cut off as I felt two hands cover my eyes and so I couldn't see anything. Oh My God!! We are going to be kidnapped.

"Help!! Plea-" I was about to say when I heard Al, "Shush, and Chloe. No one is kidnapping you. Now start walking." She said and both Soph and Al held me tight and made me walk somewhere. Finally, after what felt like five minutes, they uncovered my eyes. I looked beside me, ready to be angry when I saw that they both weren't there. I turned back and looked as far as my eyes could but they were nowhere to be found. I immediately took out my phone and was about to call Cal when something caught my eye. We were at The Place. More like I was there. And there was a paper in the garden. I shut my phone and took the paper, unfolded it and read what was written in it.

Turn back.

And so I did. And what I found was something I never imagined.
