"Ughh, what happened? And what time is it?! Shit!" I grabbed my throbbing head and winced at the movements.
For a minute I totally forgot where or with whom I was.
"Hey, you shouldn't be yelling in such a state."
My eyes opened wide. "No. Fucking. Way. I'm still dreaming. Wow... What a bizarre imagination I have... But..."I tumbled on my knees and with a shaky hand, stretched my arm and poked the tail.
"It looks so real. And.. it feels oddly too real..."
Wow, this shit looks like a genuine thing. The scales are so detailed, the colour natural and greyish as if it was from some kind of Sc-fi movie. I brusquely looked around. However I don't see any cameras or a shooting set. They must be hiding in a bush or something. Perhaps this is some kind of new technology?
How strange...
The guy scanned me, his golden orbs lingering on my face before he sighed in annoyance "Tch, because it is real. And don't go fainting on me again..."
Did he say, it was...ACTUALLY REAL?!
"You are a mermaid?" I blurted, immediately regretting it. What kind of question is that? Y/n, he is obviously lying!
"I see you can't even distinguish the difference between a male and a female, Y/n-ya."
"H-how do you know my name?"
"You've been coming here a lot, haven't you. I was bored and decided just to watch you do those tricks on the...what do humans call that...Surfboard?"
"Oh!" How should I respond? Should I be impressed? Shocked?
Why am I still talking to myself?!
"Annoying."
"What is?" I questioned.
"You. I see you have questions...Speak. I don't have anything better to do." He demanded, lowering his eyelids to the point of almost shutting them.
"Aren't you afraid I'm going to tell someone?" I honestly asked, rubbing the lower part of my neck in unison.
"Even if you did, everyone would just think you have lost your mind... So, I'm not particularly worried."
He actually grinned?! And he insulted me?
"I see." I murmured, glancing down to my stretched hands. "That's ... good? Gosh, I don't know how you can even stay so calm... Umm, I forgot to ask you...what's your name?"
Good. Keep your cool, act like all of this is normal.
"Law."
I nodded. "Ok, so Law... What...brings you to this lovely beach?"
The raven arched an eyebrow as if I was some kind of idiot that asked a moronic question. "You are not being serious, right?"
"Ehhhh...Yes?" My voice pitched a bit at the end, perhaps due to being extremely nervous.
"I already regret talking to you, to put it bluntly." He announced.
"Oh." Well, this isn't the right way how to start off a conversation with a supernatural being. "That's quite mean, don't you think? No courtesy?" My eyes widened. "Are all mermen like this or is it just you?"
"Hilarious. You are a pure comedian. It is only me here." Law rolled his eyes. "Why are you glaring, human?"
"I'm just waiting till you spontaneously disappear, and I can continue with my sunbathing. To put it bluntly." I repeated after him.
"You can't. You are dying."
It shocked me at first, then my lips tugged into a smile. "Ha, good one! You almost got me there! But seriously, you can't joke about these things."
"Who said anything about joking."
Well, things just got worse...For ME!
"Say, what?! " That is it. I'm losing my mind. I smirked and folded my arms. "Oh yeah? Well them if 'm dying, let me eat cake."
"You don't have enough time to speak about some bullshit." Not caring for my confusion, he forcefully grabbed my chin and slammed his lips on mine.

"Wake up...Wake UP....WakE UP...WAKE UP!"I coughed, my mouth feeling dry and lungs hurting like a bitch. I felt a strange, yet familiar sensation under me. Roughly three seconds passed when I remembered it was sand underneath me. However, I couldn't see the hovering people above me, only black shapes and murmurs that mixed together in an incomprehensible speech.
Damn, the sunlight is blinding me.
"She is ok." I turned to the source of the sound. My foggy image slowly sharpened and I was able to yet again see the man who passed the comment.
"Impossible." I whispered.
It was quic, but I could see his surprised expression before it was replaced by a concerned one. "Does somewhere hurt?"
"Law? You are a human?" I glanced towards the part that should have been the unnatural quirk. "Where is your tail?"
"Trafalgar, what's wrong with her?" A girlish voice spoke.
"Oxygen deprivation and hallucinations, I suspect."
Hallucinations? Was I dreaming?
"What happened?" I asked, leaning on my healthy arm.
"You fell from the surfboard and hit your head quite badly. I guess that immediately knocked you out. As for the sea water, the salt entered your lungs. "
"Really? Well that sucks." I rubbed my head. "I guess I was then lucky?" I noticed how the crowd around us dispersed. "Who should I thank for saving me?"
The raven slightly smirked. "That should be me then. And judging how you called out for me, I speculate you are already acquainted with me?"
"Ugh, not quite. I honestly don't know where I got your name. Perhaps a friend told me and I forgot?" I flushed. "I guess I had some strange hallucinations."
"Oh, wouldn't you tell me more about them?"
"Huh?"
He glanced at his watch. "I still have to examine your head and I have an additional hour before I end with my shift.
Does six o'clock sound adequate?"
"I-I guess?"
"Excellent." He reached for my back at helped me get up. Law took the advantage to lean to my ear and sweetly whisper something that just made my face explode in heat. "You have a wonderful day now, Y/n-ya.
Later. Same place."
And with that he made a turn to the left that allowed our gazes to meet once more...
W-what the hec just happened?!
I am so confused.
