"Sigh... Ahm... Sigh..." Slowly, I started to lose my patience. I had been desperately trying to gain the attention and indirectly show how much misery was collecting inside my mind. I almost went marbles. "Oh, damn, Robin, will you please stop reading! I have a real life crisis over here and you are grinning at that erotic thing for an hour!"

"It's a History book...But I don't expect you to mind the details." She turned a page. "Yes?"

"Aren't you going to ask me what's wrong?"

"I assume you'll eventually tell me yourself without me having to point anything out."

I arched a bit from Robin and quizzically looked at her. "What are you, some kind of psychic? But wouldn't it be nice from your side to show a little concern for your best friend?"

"It would, ditto let's be honest." She closed the cover and gawked straight into my eyes. "Frankly put, you can be incredibly annoying. Which in many cases proves to be funny... This, however, is not that case."

"You are mean!" I pouted. "But I have so many problems and I don't know how to solve them. It's so hard!"

"Please, refrain yourself from shouting. The way you are saying things sounds in more ways than one like an 18+ content. And I assume you don't want to teach the children inappropriate things."

"Fine, fine... Uhh, and they say I'm the cold, heartless one."

We both stared at the sea, the screams of the little kids overpowering the shouts that came from the anxious parents. I had to apply my sunscreen at least five times before I was convinced it would protect my skin from the scorching heat and rays. Robin on the other hand, wasn't so concerned. Well, she had a more tanned complexion and in comparison to me, she rarely got sunburns.

"Has something bad happened?" Robin eventually asked, not tearing her eyes from the calm waves.

"Bad? Well, the question is a bit ubiquitous. But... No, I don't think it's something bad. It's just... Unexpected."

"Now this is more interesting." Her anticipation was nowhere close to mine when it came to relevant things. I was usually a bundle of nerves and it mostly felt like I was plugged into electricity. In other words...It was unpleasant.

"I know right?" I sighed and leaned my chin on the tugged knees. I shyly doodled with my finger on the small desk, the circular motion making me even more aware of my blush. "I think... I like someone..." I murmured.

"Think? You aren't sure?"

"I've never been on an actual date before, Robin. You are guiding me back to the dark days of failed confessions. Heck," I threw my head backwards, "I doubt I had ever held a boy's hand that was older than five and didn't need a babysitter nor new dippers to change." The last memory made me shudder in disgust. There were some things no one had to experience.
