Anais
I pressed my lips together to spread my lipgloss which was met with the heavy sigh of Esteban.
"Esteban I am almost done" I pouted, looking into the mirror impatiently. I wanted Eveything to perfect, especially now that all of Espana knew we were an item. He came behind me and delicately nibbled on the end of my ear. "I'm starving mi amor" he groaned, "and you look way too good for me not to be. Hurry up before I eat you" he teased.
"Okay fine" I smiled, packing the rest of my makeup into my bag. He led me to the hallway, hand in hand. Quickly he grabbed the keys to his car and pulled me into his protective arms.
We walked to the door and he opened it but just as we broke from our kiss, we saw Hector leaning against the frame of the door with a big black folder. "Morning you love birds" He smiled warmly.
"No way Hector! Bye" Esteban pushes past him, leading me to follow him down the stairs.
"Esteban you can't keep avoiding my house calls! We need to discuss the future. And your sponsors!"
"Later my friend. This is my one day off and I am spending it with Anais" he bragged, pulling me down the stairs.
"Esteban! Por favor! You are going to make my hair turn gray at 25!!!" he yelled after as, his deep voice echoing against the walls of the hallway.
We both ran and chuckled together, zooming downstairs to hop into his car. He hopped over the hood, into his seat and sped away as Hector chased after us. I had no ounce of guilt abandoning him; since it's what he deserved.
I never liked him anyways.
We sped through the country on our way to the city, enjoying the silence of each other's company. He wouldn't let me know where we were going but I knew he was taking me to a nice restaurant near the arena.
"So after breakfast, we can to the arena to see the banner. It's being hung and laminated for the fight next week." he filled me in.
"Or?" I hinted, looking at him as he sped up to pass a a car in the winding streets.
"Or?" he shifted his eyes to me, waiting for my suggestion.
"We can go to the training arena?" I boldly suggested. He looked over to me and frowned; I knew he believed in my dream of being the first female torerra, but was worried about my safety.
"Anais, I am all in for your dream to be the best , but it is dangerous"
"But Esteban, you promised you would train me! I mean you're the best coach in Espana! Who else would I ask?" I protested, dismissing his worry.
He muttered a few words beneath a breath but remained silent, making sure to avoid my gaze. I climbed over the middle of his car and begin kissing his neck. He continued to drive, focusing on the road while slightly turning his face to me to return the embrace. I began kissing his lips sultrily, tempting him to break his silence.
"Anais" he growled, taking one of his veiny palms off the steering wheel, and grasping the back of my neck. I continued to kiss him desperately until he broke his focus and attacked me, pulling his eyes off the road. His car veered into upcoming traffic but we didn't care, too involved in our own little world.
"HONK HONKKKKK" a car sounded and he finally veered back into our lane. I giggled girlishly and scoot back into my seat, leaning against his chest until we pulled up to the quiet restaurant.
"If you're still up for it... we can go after breakfast" he sighed. I smiled happily and kissed his cheek. "I love you Esteban" I sing, smiling at the side of his profile. He chuckled and grabbed my jaw, taking his
time to admire my features. "I love you too mi amor" he whispered and kissed me gently.
