"i know its been like a month and a half," maria paused, her eyes watering a little, but she couldnt cry. she knew she couldnt. "and you probably forgot about me, b-but im so so sorry for whatever i-ive done."

"i really am sorry," maria whispered into the phone, "i probably fucked up really bad, or told you too much shit about me that made you run away, or - or you just are busy. but i love you so much, and the fact that you just left from out of nowhere... hurts. it fucking hurts. but thats okay, because everyone leaves anyway."

tapping on the send button, maria took in a deep breath. she couldnt believe this was happening. she had thought she finally found the one who understood her, but come on, she's just a fan. this never happens in real life, nor will it ever, so maria has to move on... she wasnt worth ashtons time, or thats what she thought. 

and thats when she bursted into tears. she hasnt cried for such a long time, thinking it showed the signs of weakness. she had almost missed the feeling of pain; the feeling of someone leaving you, i guess. 

"mari," hailey's best friend walked in, gasping at the state maria was in right now. "what happened?"

"i-i don't know," maria's tears kept falling and falling, she couldnt control herself. "i just met him last month, no, a month and three weeks."  

"i know mari," hailey frowned, rubbing her best friends back. "and im really sorry this happened, but, you have to move on babe."

"i wont move on," maria sniffed, finally looking into hailey's eyes. they were just like ashton's. "im being such a baby - oh my god!" 

"you arent," hailey giggled. "even if we met him in a meet & greet, im pretty sure id be in the state you are in right now."

"i guess so," maria shrugged, laughing a little. hailey always cheered her up. she wasn't very good at it, like ashton, but she helped her.

"come on," hailey opened her arms, a grin plastered on her face. "give mama a hug!"
