Boring, boring, boring,
oh, how that word can be so dreadfully haunting,
gnawing, galling, misinforming, forever taunting,
many times have I been the recipient of its mulish stinging,
until it dwells in the mind and the ears like a bell ringing,
but a word is nothing without its meaning.
It stems from the people that throw it out into the world,
as if they are God's gift, a special diamond pearl,
they have formulated the convention; on what is real,
they lay its foundations in steel and defend it with a toxic zeal,
it is belief that is taken as fact when really it should be exposed as useless spiel,
to this collaborative dictatorship I will not kneel.
Let us redefine what is real, convention is what is dull,
all that is important is living life to the full,
whether that is filling your day with null, or keeping every single minute full,
whatever generates that euphoric pull,
the decision of the masses should not cause you to stall,
you owe yourself so much more.
I challenge you fools who spray the word with venom,
move away from the social hierarchy, break its rhythm,
otherwise you become a definition of the world you yield as a weapon,
make your own independent selection,
plot your course, map it out and follow your preferred direction,
moments of significance and unbounded self-affection are out there for collection.
Quit the insurrection, the thoughts in my head are not worthy of derision,
take a leaf and follow the truth in myself and the truth I show my vision,
aid in breaking world expectations with a fearsome fissure,
at this point I merely pity you as an underachieving creature,
throw off your robes as directionless preachers,
embed yourself in expression and build a pure future.
Let me point you towards this, let me guide you,
allow yourself a more anarchic view,
fight the men and women in their tailored suits,
worth does not need to be supplied to them in proof,
for them to check and alter, break these shackles, hit the roof,
it is time to throw off expectation and make your own decision on where to sink your tooth.
