Stop the angst and anger,
stop fighting with one another.
We are one of the same,
we are the generation who hold the torch, the flame.
There are banners that need to be united under,
causes that we can no longer run from and flounder.
Let our disagreements be the remedy,
debating makes finding solutions easy.
For confrontation we are greedy, stop it,
opposite opinions do not extinguish the path that has been lit.
It is about tolerance and respect; understanding the big picture,
for this, we will all be mentally so much richer.
We paint ourselves in a bad light,
when we bicker, and bitch and fight.
What is important is that it is our time,
learn from those that have come previously down the line.
Their ability to disagree amicably can be applauded,
their mistakes when it comes to issues that endanger the world can still be avoided.
Don't think for yourselves, think for ourselves,
observe yourselves on the shelves.
Human brilliance comes from necessity,
so unite in the way it was meant to be.
We are the generation where practice must become action,
our inability to tolerate both creed, culture and differing opinions is our greatest sanction.
