"Okay everyone that's it for today. Let's clear up and head home" I call to the science club members. We've just made bath bombs that we will be selling in a couple of weeks time at the open day.
My name is Lance I'm 6' tall, have blue eyes, dark wavy short hair and because I like the outdoors, I'm in good shape. "Baby can we go I'm hungry?" Cody my boyfriend asks, he is just under 6' brown eyes, dirty blond hair and getting a little soft around the middle as he's becoming a little lazy but I love him.
Yes, I'm gay and my Mum already knows. When I came out and told her she said "honey I've known since you were 6 and you walked around the house in my high heels for weeks." She's great are only little disagreement is that she thinks Cody isn't good enough for me.
She has said she respects my decision though and that she loves me. I've the best Mum in the world. "Help clean up and we can get out of here sooner?" I tell Cody he grumbles and takes out his phone.
"Bye P' Lance" I wave to the group leaving after the clean up. I'm living in Bangkok, and live on my own as Mum lives in America. I moved here 4 years ago to study sciences with a physics major.
"What do you fancy to eat?" I ask Cody he puts his phone away and takes my hand "BBQ" he says as we head out of the building. Students squeal around us and snap our pictures making Cody puff out his chest and suck in his gut.
He loves the attention, I put up with it as its apart of the culture here, they go a little crazy of boy love or yaoi love as they call it. I get into the car and Cody gets in the passenger seat. "Don't know why I can't drive?" he gripes "because its my car and I've seen your driving" I reply and he scowls.
Two weeks later
It's open day and I have to man the physics department stall in this morning and the science club stall this afternoon. These last two weeks have been crazy busy and I'll be glad when open day is over with.
I sigh as I run my fingers through my damp hair. It is not worth drying it as it just makes it wavier. Grabbing my bag, I head out to the carpark. I check I have everything in the trunk that I need and then go to pick up Cody.
"Cody I can't be late today if you're not out in 5 minutes you can get a taxi?" I say over the phone after waiting for him to get his ass in gear. "Cool your jets I'll be there in a minute" he says ending the call.
After 7 minutes of waiting I get in the car and start to pull out of the car space I'm in. I make it to the carpark exist when Cody yanks open the door. His shirt is still unbuttoned and he has toast hanging from his mouth.
When he shuts the door and grins at me. I scrunch up my nose "you didn't shower again?" I say. It doesn't bother him as he takes out some spray deodorant and sprays it all over his upper body.
"Gross man, really gross" I cough he laughs "you love me" he says spitting toast crumbs over the dash. "Keep your mouth shut when your eating, you are worse than a little kid" I complain.
He takes out his phone and that's all we say until I pull into a car space within the university outside the physics department.
"Don't forget we have the science stall to man this afternoon 1pm" I remind him. "Yes Mother" he answers before blowing me a kiss and jumping from the car.
Cody is studying business so is in another building to me. I head to the physics stall and help set it up "Lance could you tell them where it's best to hang the banners and such.
You did a great job last year" Mr. Swiaze says. Once it's all up the morning goes by really quickly "Lance, Lance" I hear called and look over to see who it is.
"Suzi, hi you've grown since the last time I saw you?" I say hugging her. "I could say the same thing to you, I'm sure I use to be taller than you?" she jokes, we haven't seen each other for 6 years when I moved to America with Mum.
"So, you managed to make university?" I joke with her "only just, I had to do cram school and then have a private tutor to just get in" she tells me.
"Hey, I have to head over to the science stall now and grab some lunch on the way" I tell her
"We'll walk with you and you can tell us a little about the clubs" she suggests "this is Win my friend and dorm mate" she introduces
"Hi Win, what are you studying?" "Science with a Maths major" she answers
"I'm science with a physics major last year" I tell them.
"Wow, I got into arts and I think I'm going to find that difficult" Suzi mutters. "Why didn't you go to university in the US?" she asks I shrug my shoulders before answering
"I missed it here and they have a pretty great programme here." I start to tell them a little about the clubs and university life.
"Here is the science club we made bath bombs and will sale some packs of four and give some individual ones to the people that win them from the lucky board" I tell them.
I look around for Cody "hey Tor, have you seen Cody?" I ask another member "sorry man" he says shrugging his shoulders. "Is Cody your boyfriend" Suzi asks "yes, he is he should be here soon" I answer.
