I open my eyes and blink then focus on Dad and Brother at the end of the bed.

"Hi guys, don't wake him up he got a little upset talking to his Mum as he had to explain things to her" I tell them.

They nod "I'll catch you later" they both say together and Dad claps P' Mount on the back. They wave and leave together. I close my eyes but I know I'll not be able to get back to sleep. I gently move his head from my shoulder and then go back to studying.

"No!" being called out makes me look over at Lance to see him frowning and his right hand is fisted. I walk over to him and take his hand and release his fingers, he grabs my hand.

I stretch over to the table and grab the laptop then get on the bed and settle next to him.  He seems to seek my warmth and settles down again.  I carry on with my editing and let Lance lean into my side.

1 Week later

Lances POV

"You can have a sling now but you must not jolt your arm or bang it. You can go out but, in a wheelchair as I don't want you tripping and falling on your arm" P' Mount tells me.

Bright walks out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist. His body is full of packed muscle and I feel my mouth water looking at him.

"Hi P' can I take him out today?" he asks his brother walking to the closet and getting dressed.

"This guy has never minded about people seeing him naked. He would run around naked after his bath even when he was 7" his brother tells me.

"Hey, we are all men" is all Bright says. P' Mount shakes his head "clueless" his brother mutters.

"See you later" he says before leaving the room.  "I can go out as long as I'm in a wheelchair" I tell him. "Great, I know you've been getting antsy from being locked in this room" he says

"That's not the only thing locked up" I mutter under my breath "what?" he asks I shake my head "how am I meant to wear a top with the pins and cast on my arm?" I ask looking down at my bare chest and bandages.

"I've bought some muscle T's the arm holes are big enough that the cast and pins can go through them" he tells him "thanks, you're always thinking for me" I thank him.

He has been great during this time looking after my needs helping to the bathroom, washing and dressing.  I've had to think of the periodic table and formulas to stop myself getting turned on.

He helps get me dressed and places the sling over my arm fastening it tight against my body it feels good to have my arm out of the contraption it was in.

I've been told the bones are knitting together nicely and only a slight adjustment has had to be made so far. It was painful but didn't last long.

My lung is nearly fully healed but the cracked ribs are still mending.  I stand and walk over to the wheelchair and sit down. "Do you think, we could go eat somewhere? I like your cooking but I need a break from this room" I ask "sure there is a café, selling snacks and a choice of two cafeteria's one does traditional Thai food the other has a selection from Western to Asian food" he replies.

"Do they have grilled cheese sandwiches?" I ask suddenly wanting one as I miss my Mum.

"Not sure, I'll call down and ask on the way out" he says pushing me towards the door. "I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning" I say excitedly.

Bright makes the call and is told that they can make grilled cheese no problem. "I'd clap my hands if I could or do a little jig.  Mum use to make grilled cheese sandwiches whenever, I'd had a bad day.  It's the best comfort food" I say as we enter the elevator.
