Both Batman and Robin entered the Watchtower. The two walking past a few team members quickly. "Tim?" Cassie called, causing Robin to stop a moment and stare back at her. "Is everything okay?" She asked hesitantly.
He opened his mouth, getting ready to answer, but was immediately cut off. "Robin. We need to hurry." Batman called.
"I'm sorry." Robin whispered, hands curling tighter around Nightwings suit. Batman was right. They needed to hurry. And with that, he took off after his mentor.
"Tim?" Cassie called out a bit more quietly. But the other had already disappeared.
"Uh.. Did anyone else see what he was holding?" Bart spoke up, standing from his seat next to Jaime.
"A piece of cloth?" Artemis recalled with a raised brow. "So?"
"Yeah and it was covered with blood." Bart pushed. "A~nd it looked like Nightwings suit." That had grabbed everyone's attention as a few of them looked back to where the dynamic duo had disappeared to.
"You think this has something to do with that 'family emergency'?" Jaime asked.
Artemis remained quiet a moment as she looked at her hands. If something really did happen to Dick and so soon after what happened to Wally.. She was quickly grabbing her phone. "I'm calling M'gann and Kaldur." She stated.
"But Batman-" Cassie began, but Artemis waved her off.
"I don't care what Batman says, Nightwings our family too."
Laborious breathing slipped past Dicks lips as he stumbled slightly on his feet. His head throbbing as he made way for a nearby zeta tube to take him to Gotham. He was getting nowhere in Bludhaven. No answers. Not even a hint. Just dead ends and cold trails. He didn't even care to check if anyone could see him as he punched in Gothams coordinates. Stumbling into the light and disappearing.
It took him a few moments to get his bearings once stumbling out into a secluded alleyway. Using the stone wall for support as he remained crouched down on his knees. The throbbing in his head was growing worse by the minute and it took all his focus just to stand. Which didn't mean he was able to walk as he found himself crashing to the floor. The concrete scraping his face as he remained there.
He could spare a few minutes resting his eyes, right? Not like he really had much of a choice as he easily let the darkness consume him.
Back at the Watchtower, Batman and Robin were speaking with both Superman and Martian Manhunter. "And you haven't been able to find him?" Superman concluded.
Batman nodded. "I wouldn't have come to the two of you if there was more time, however-"
"Say no more, I'm in." The Kryptonian interrupted. Smiling reassuringly at the Dark Knight. "Besides, Nightwing may not be League anymore, but he's still one of us and we take care of our own."
Martian Manhunter nodded at that. "I too will aid you."
"I do appreciate it." Batman admitted, not missing the small sigh of relief slipping past Robins lips. "I will be contacting Batgirl shortly to see if she made any progress making an antidote." And with that the four of them were exiting the room, making way for the zeta beams, but not before Artemis stopped them.
"Anything we can do to help?" She cut in, the other members of the team easily being seen watching from a distance.
"No." Was all Batman said as he walked past her.
She scowled at the Dark Knight, but Robin placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Thank you for the offer, but I'm sure we can handle it." He explained as he and the other two followed after Batman.
