- Christina's POV -
I woke up to the sound of people out the front of my house. Which prompted me to roll out of bed and lazily walk towards the window. I looked down and saw Irving, Allison and a few others frantically rushing around near my front door.
My face scrunched up in confusion as I tried to think of why they might be at my house. I could've sworn I didn't have anything planned for today, but then again I never check my schedule.
Still half-asleep I made my way down stairs and to my front door. As soon as I opened it they all came rushing in.
"Jesus! What took you so long?" Irving asked.
"I was sleeping." I shrugged, as I shut the door behind them.
"I see you conveniently decided to lock your door." Allison said.
"Yeah, I guess people walking into my house anytime they please isn't all that good."
"No, what's not good is the blow up from the awards last night!" Irving exclaimed.
"What blow up? I thought it went fine last night."
"We did too. Then we woke up this morning and you were all over the news." Tom, one of the publicists, said.
"What now?" I groaned.
"Your exchange backstage with Adam Levine was witnessed by more than a few people who were willing to share the details to the tabloids." Tom said.
"Oh, and there was something about hooking up with Adam at an after party." Allison added.
"Hooking up with him, really? Do people think I'm bipolar?!"
"This is a serious problem. In the space of a month Adam Levine has done more damage to your career than you've done good with it." Tom said.
"You sure know how to charm a girl." I mumbled sarcastically.
"Christina." Irving scolded.
I rolled my eyes as I turned back to Tom, "Carry on."
"We've decided that the best thing for you to do right now is to get out of LA and away from Adam Levine. So, you're going to Miami for a while to record some new songs for your Christmas album."
"Leave LA?" I asked.
"Yes. Only for two weeks or so. It's the smart thing to do."
I sighed. "Whatever."
There was no use trying to put up a fight. I'd be leaving LA no matter what I did to try and stop it. I've learnt that when it comes to management, about 98% of the time you just have to suck it up and do what they say.

I sat with Allison in the airport as we waited for our flight. We were talking and joking around as usual but were interrupted by my phone. I stopped mid-sentence and looked down at the caller ID.
"Jorge." I mouthed to her, before walking away so I could talk to him privately. We hadn't talked since last night at the party and he'd been dodging all my calls and texts.
"Baby, I know you're angry about last night but I can explain exactly what-"
"Christina, stop." He said, interrupting my nervous ramble. "I wanted to speak to you in person but you weren't home."
"I'm about to get on a plane to Miami. What did you want to talk about?"
"Miami? How long?" He asked, ignoring my question.
"About 2 weeks. Why?"
"That's good. That works well actually."
"How?" I asked, confused.
"I wanted to speak to you because I just- I think it would be good if we spent some time apart. . ."
"Why?"
"I think you and I need to spend some time on our own for a while to figure things out."
"What is there to figure out, Jorge?" I snapped. "I want to be with you. There's nothing else that needs figuring out."
"Christina, it's obvious that you're too emotionally immature to understand what I'm trying to say here. So, I think I'm just going to go. Have fun in Miami."
"Emotionally immature?! What the fu-" I was cut off by the harsh beeping of my phone, signaling that he'd hung up. What did spending some time apart even mean? Were we broken up or just on a 'vacation' from one another? I just don't understand why Jorge changed his feelings towards me all of a sudden. I mean, he was completely fine yesterday and it surely couldn't have been a two minute dance with some asshole as the main cause.
I walked back over to Allison before slumping back into my chair.
"You ok?" She asked.
"Yeah, fine." I said, smiling slightly.
