Chapter 4

Hey everyone. So, this particular chapter is going to be a special one. In this chapter, you'll see all the main characters in all my books. I will publish this chapter not just in this book but all the others as well. At first, I thought to publish it separately but then I decided to just add it in all of the books. For those of you who haven't read any of my other books, don't worry, I won't be adding anything that can be confusing as for the people who have read my other books, it is a treat for you all, to be honest.

You'll see Sammy&Amber, Alexai&Hope, Jessica Knight, Max, Cameron&Leo, Victor&Dee, Victoria&Cassie and last but definitely not the least, our main leads for 'Fate', Valerina&Jamie along with several others.

This chapter is basically to show all of these characters in the same place as they interact with each other and you'll see their similarities and differences as well. I'm going to love writing this and I hope you love reading it as well. It's good to bring them all together like this and I love that there is going to be so much diversity in one chapter. The Masquerade Ball

Part:1

The city of New York was buzzing with life and all everyone has been talking about for the last week was 'The Masquerade Ball' that the prestigious Roman Family were organizing. Every prominent family in the high society was waiting patiently for their invite and those who got them were then marked as the higher ones while the ones who weren't invited were either enraged or simply jealous. The media has been covering the whole event like it was the event of the decade or something, which to some extent it was, and even the smallest of details were being tweeted about. Some of the most famous and known celebrities and politicians were invited as well as the business associates, closest friends and family members of the Roman Family. Everyone was excited about it.

For the world, The Ball seemed to be a huge deal but for the Romans, it was just a mere gathering to celebrate a new beginning and nothing more. Avery had been working nonstop for a week to make this event the best that New York City had seen in a while as the name of Roman Family was at stake and she knew it had to be nothing less than perfect. Avery and Enzo, along with their teams were managing everything related to the event. They had hired the best caterers and event planners from all over the world for this one particular night and they all had to sign a nondisclosure agreement before it. Enzo made sure to keep the security on high alert and only specific members of media were allowed to enter the premises of the Roman Estate while the paparazzi swarmed outside the gates.

Alexander Roman had arrived earlier that morning as he went over the details of the event with Avery one last time before the main event. Valerina and Victoria greeted their father and when he learned that Victor would be coming later that night together with the Rich family he just shook his head. Victoria took her father to his room so that he could rest and left him alone with her sister as she went back to her room to finish some work before their personal makeup and designer teams could arrive. She was happy to see her sister outside her room now that her father was here because she had been closed off inside her room for a few days. At first, she was worried and didn't understand why she was acting like this but when Enzo ensured her that it was just the pressure of being back here, she simply nodded and let her be.
