*Sapphire's POV*

In the morning I and Ruby got ready. She put the clothes from yesterday and I put on an off-shoulder blouse thing. And black shorts with roses on them. I knew that I will probably get cold so I took an oversized hoodie with me.

I and Ruby began our way to school. We talked as we walked. I met her yesterday and it already seems like I love her. It's just. So weird. It's like I want to spend every second of my life with her. Is that normal? No, it's ridiculous. There's no such thing as love from the first sight. And I bet that it will just get me hurt. Stars, she maybe even has a girlfriend! We have talked about many things but love life, sexuality and such. It seems like she knows almost everything about me and I know nothing about her.

You see, whenever I ask about her parents, it's simple. Other family members, nothing much. Any traumatic events? No. It's impossible to have such a perfect life. Popular, quite rich, many friends, good family.

I didn't even notice that I have gone quiet while in my thought. "Hello? Earth to Sapphire?" Ruby waved her hand in front of my face. I chuckle. "Hi, sorry, I zoned out," She said it's fine and continued stating facts why it would be good if Goerge Washington was still alive. Yeah, what the fuck happened while I was floating in my thoughts? I have a feeling like I turned away from the board for five seconds during class.

We walk into the school and earn stares, whispers, and rumors already spreading. Apparently, it's a big thing if one of the most popular girls in school befriends the new kid on the first day and suddenly walks into the school together, talking and walking pretty close.

The only attention I got after going into a school was a bucket of water poured on me daily.

But we ain't talking about that.

Oh no, my introverted battery needs to charge for a few weeks, please leave me alone. I think as I see some people walk over to us. I don't need more than two friends. Is hanging out with Ruby that big of a deal?

A tall and muscular girl was standing in the middle. She was looking badass, not gonna lie. She had a girl with long blonde hair standing beside her. She had a green dress and boots. On the other side was someone who looked much like Amethyst. Maybe her family?

*Ruby's POV*

I see the trio. OH FOR FUCKS SAKE, HOW COULD I FORGET I-

Okay, look, this will sound so ridiculous but I may or may not be dating Emerald and forgotten about it. I don't even like her. She is just a cheating bitch but I need to somehow keep my status, especially since I'm a freshman.

She never talks to me. Never listens to me. She was sick for a month now and was in the hospital so I just forgot about her existence. She only hits me up when she needs something.

Jasper. Literal bully of the world. I know she isn't actually like that and is hurting but no way I'm mentioning this to anyone. We have a chill relationship, thankfully.

And then there's Sugilite, Amethyst's cousin. She's the oldest there. They two are Sophomores and Sugilite is a Junior.

The gang of theirs is much bigger but they don't hang out much together so yeah.

"Hey, guys. Hey Emerald, I see you're back." I try to give a nice smile but I honestly want to vomit. I don't hate them. I just dislike them a little.

"Ew, Ruby, who allowed you to hang out with another girl?" I hear Emerald say and roll her eyes. "Who allowed you to make out with every second person you meet? " I know I'll regret this but who cares.
