Y/N looked back at the arena where she had just fought the red-dressed bug called Hornet. She had fought nastily, and that needle hurt to get pierced by,,, But nonetheless, Y/N had gotten through. Not without a struggle but still. Gotten through. Y/N glanced back once more, just to make sure Hornet hadn't followed her at all, (Which, was not likely, the bug had shot herself up into the sky immediately after Y/N had beaten her) but there still could've been a chance.
Y/N then started to creep forward, not wanting to stumble upon any other un-friendly faces. She brushed her hand (Still struggling with what you call a fracking bug hand-) alongside the lush greenery of the forest surrounding her as she walked through the tunnel of overgrowth. GreenPath was a beautiful place truly, and would probably be more enjoyable if it wasn't filled with acid, murderous flies and bugs with very pointy needles that they apparently enjoyed impaling into your skull.
But other then that, it was a lovely tourist attraction.
Y/N trailed along the path for a while longer in silence before she started to notice that the plants and trees were thinning out. She slowed down a bit and gripped her nail, (Or whatever weapon you would like, I'm tired and too lazy too think of something else haha (=ω= ) wart of what lay ahead. As she emerged on the other side where the plants stopped, she felt baffled at what she saw in front of her. A big hut, made of palm fronds and other plants Y/N did not quite know or remember.
She could hear distant mumbling from inside, but held back from going in just yet. You never know who it could be. She tore her gaze away from the house and scanned the rest of the area. She froze immediately. Only a few feet ahead of her was a Moss Knight. She gripped her weapon tightly and narrowed her eyes, ready to strike the moment it came at her. But, after a few seconds she realized it wasn't moving. At all.
It was just standing there, looking out over the huge pool of acid that sat before it. She eased herself out of her fighting position and slowly walked over to it. "H-hello?" She cautioned towards it. "Are you-" She was actually considering for a moment that the great thing might not be infected, as so many others were in this cursed land.
But then everything went wrong. Her nail, which she had still been holding, slipped out of her bUg hANdS and clattered right next the the Moss Knight. It must've slit the things ankle or door or something because it whipped around, infuriated and Y/N could see the infection boiling underneath it's eyes. Y/N helped and jumped back as the Knight (Not our bby Knight y'all-) swung its gigantic sword and shield towards her. She reached for her nail and then remembered she had dropped it right next to the angry bug in front of her. "Shoot."
She muttered underneath her breath and decided to go with possibly one of the most dangerous things she had ever done. As the Moss Knight neared to her, she took a deep breath and just when it approached her, she leapt over it's head. This did cause it to raise its shield over its mossy head, and the metal thing hit Y/N's leg, causing pain to run through it like fire. She grimaced as she landed but held in her whimper and grabbed the nail.
She whipped around and was about to charge at the beast when something flashed through the air close to the Knight. The Knights orange glowing eyes widened with surprise for one second before it exploded in a pool of orange goopy infection. (Idk if it's just me, but I've always laughed when I hear the word 'goopy' Idk it's just a funny word X3) Y/N looked in astonishment at the puddle of infection and then looked up, mouth open slightly. A bug was standing before her, wiping his hands off on his think legs.
He had gray-blue scales and on top on his white face, a big mask sat. It had four eyes, two on each side and a good sized crack ran down one side of it. Otherwise, the rather handsome bug didn't really have anything outstanding about him. The bug looked up at her and grinned. "Well. He wasn't as nice as I originally thought him to be!" He exclaimed.
Y/N was still in shock of how he had moved so fast and where he had come from. The bug must've noticed her confused expression. "Oh, I've been staying in there for a bit... guess that's a good thing because otherwise that Moss Knight would've shredded you! Y/N bristled a bit at this. "Are you suggesting that I wouldn't have been able to protect myself?" The bug looked a little surprised.
"No, no that's not what I meant at all, although your foot would have probably been a problem." Y/N looked down at her foot, which was currently slightly bleeding from the hit she took from the shield. "Still, I probably could've beaten it by myself." The bug raised his hands in self defense. "Well, your welcome, I guess..." He trailed off at the end. Y/N, feeling a little guilty, now took a step towards him. "I'm sorry, I'm just tired right now, I fought a pretty mean bug back there..." The bug shuffled around. "Well, if you would like, I can heal you up a bit inside."
Y/N flashed him a small smile. "That would be delightful! Thank you so much!" He nodded at her, and then started walking back to the small hut. Y/N followed after him, skipping to catch up with him. "S-so, you never told me your name?" The bug glanced back at her. "Oh, my apologies! My name is Quirrel. What about you? Didn't catch yours either." Y/N was walking side by side with him now. "I never threw it. (Guys if any of you get that reference, I love you) But it's Y/N." Quirrel chuckled. "I like that name. Has a nice ring to it." Y/N blushed a bit. "Thank you." Quirrel ducked under the leaves that was apparently the houses door, Y/N following close behind. Inside the hut was a stone bench, what looked like a special kind of nail and surprisingly mOrE plAnTs- But it was prettier then Y/N had expected.
Quirrel gestured to the bench. "You can rest if you'd like." Y/N nodded gratefully and limped over to the bench. Quirrel went over to a corner of the hut while Y/N looked around a bit more, and then brought out what looked like a medical kit. He took out a bandage from it and started wrapping it tightly around Y/N's foot. She winced a bit at the harsh contact but Quirrel only glanced up at her. "The pressure will help, it'll be worth it. Plus the wound isn't that deep, so no harm is done here."
Y/N eased up to the pressure after a bit. Quirrel stood up, looking proudly at his work. Y/N bashfully looked up at him. "Thank you again." Quirrel flashed her a grin. "No problem! It's nice to have some company that's not trying to kill you." Y/N chuckled a bit and then folded her bUg HanD pInCer ThiNgS across her lap, playing with her fingers. "I was wondering... I know it might be a bit early to ask this, but could I stay here for a bit? Just to heal and rest?"
Quirrel's eyes showed visible surprise. "S-sure." Y/N beamed up at him. "Ugh, I feel like I thank you for too much, but nonetheless, thank you." Quirrel blushed a tiny bit. "Of course." Y/N slowly got up. "Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna go find something to eat. I dunno 'bout you, but I am starving!"
