Chapter 7: The new plans

The next day would be a day of anger and frustration. Malcolm and the others would have another briefing, but this time it was about the experimental beast called the King. 

Malcolm woke up sweating after the horrible nightmares about the creature that they made. He tried to stay calm because the best thing they could do now was to do his work as best as he could, hoping that they all would have a chance to get the King under control. 

'I hope I'm not losing my mind.' He thought.

When it was time for the briefing he waited for Francine in the hallway near the offices, so they could walk together to the briefing. Not long after she came in. 

'Good morning doc,' she said. Malcolm saw she had sweat on her forehead that she quickly swapped off. 

'Are you okay, Francine? You also had nightmares, Didn't you?' He asked. 

'Yes, a bit,' she said. 

'Don't worry I have them too.' They walked to the briefing. Everyone was already sitting there, including Williams. 

'Ah, Dr. Joseph and Smith, you are here, Good,' Williams said. 

'Yes, sir. What do you want me to do?' Malcolm asked. 

'Just sit down okay. We will begin right away.'

Malcolm and everyone else sat down as Williams started with his words. 

'My fellow members of this team, we are here to talk about the incident with the King. Yesterday we presented you the first successful version of the King and it's completely functional form. However, the first test was very unsuccessful and now Dr. Simon Lancer is dead and Dr. Schutter had to take it out with sleeping gas.'

David stood up, pointed his finger to Williams and screamed. 

'I had no choice, okay?! What would you want to do, get killed or something, or let that beast break out and kill everyone?!' 

'SIT DOWN, SCHUTTER! You did things without fucking orders!' Williams shouted. 

'For god sake! This is bad, do you understand me? We have a creature that we created and we are unable to control it.' Williams was serious about this. 

'But now I agree with you. You had no choice, but the General is getting impatient and we have to make sure it stays in good shape. Anyways, we have a new plan to try and find out how we are able to study it further from now on and we will start with it today. But there is something that we did indeed find out about him that might help us to communicate with him and control him.'

'Alright, Dr. Schutter I give the word to you what do have for me?' David stood up with an angry look and started talking. 

'Before we had put the subject into containment we made a few examinations and discovered some things that we definitely need to research further.'

'The first thing is that we found out that he developed some kind of stinger on the end of his tail which is filled with a weird substance. Unfortunately we can't yet find out what it is or how it got there but we're on it right now. The other thing is that it also has developed some kind of male reproduction system, so he is for one-part human, but mostly in alien form. We believe this was because of the mixing process and the way the dat  we got had it described.'

One of the men stood up and asked, 'You think that the mysterious substance in is body has something to do with that system.' David started thinking for a moment. 

'Maybe, but we are not sure about that but right now everything seems possible.'He continued his talk.

'But there is also something with its telepathic way of communication. We were able to detect that it has the same way of communication that's not only from a normal living subject, but almost the same way that a so-called mother or Queen has. Because in previous operations we were able to analyze a captured mother and learn about way of communication. So, it's likely that he will be able to speak with normal ones by getting into their mind and that's what we need to talk about. If that thing is able to make contact those things it might be a big risk since they will maybe come and give a visit and but that's something else for now.'
