The experiments and other tests continued on the Alien King but without any results. Malcolm was still suspended from his work and was not allowed to come outside his room. They had locked his door and windows from the outside with a lock mechanism and security only opened the door to bring food or for other things so Malcolm only had a stronger feeling like he was in a jail cell.
Three days had past and Malcolm was stilled locked in his room when there was loud banging on the door and voice shouted. 'Mr. Joseph, are you there?!' Malcolm looked at the door and walked forward.
'I'm here, where else?' He said.
The door beeped and opened. The guard that watched over Malcolm walked in with four Elites. 'Mr. Joseph your arrest has been lifted with orders of General Grey. And why would he do that?' He asked. 'You will have to ask that to the General himself. Now, follow us and you will be fine.'
Malcolm walked with them without saying anything. They took him to the mess hall where Williams was waiting for him along with Captain Wolf and the other Elite officers.
'Mr. Joseph come and sit down.' He said.
'Okay tell me, what do you want from me?' Malcolm asked.
'General Grey will come here to look at that thing you call the Alien King, but he also wants to talk to about your actions with the King,' Williams said.
'Oh, so that's it. You just do as I say, alright?' At that moment somebody walked in and said,
'Mr. Williams, General Grey's ship is about to land.' Williams stood up and looked at Malcolm.
'Okay, Mr. Joseph I'm going to meet up with General Grey you just stay here until we are back and would you be so kind not to do anything stupid?'
'Yes, okay!' Malcolm said. Williams pointed at Wolf.
'You, Captain come with me.' Wolf and Williams walked out.
Malcolm was allowed to take a drink or have something to eat while he waited. In the hangar, Williams and Wolf waited for the ship. After two minutes the announcement was given that a ship was approaching. It was Grey's ship.
The hangar doors opened and the ship slowly flew in, turned around, and landed. The back door opened up and there he was. General Grey walked out along with some heavily armed bodyguards. Williams and Wolf walked towards him and they saluted.
'Sir, welcome back to Mayfield station, I hope you had a pleasant flight?' Williams said.
'Thank you, my friend,' Grey said.
'What's the status of the situation?' He asked.
'We still don't have the subject under control, but we were able to keep the monsters from outside away from this base and the containment area is fully operational again,' Williams said.
'And where is Dr. Joseph?'
'In the mess hall, we will take you to him right away.'
'Okay, lead on.' Grey looked at Wolf and shook hands.
'You must be the new Elite captain?'
'Yes, it's an honor to meet you, general,' Wolf said.
'Again, my sincere for Fergus but you're doing a great job.'
'Don't mention it.'
They walked through the massive hallway while Grey asked some questions.
'Captain, how is the team doing you received last week?'
'Great, we are all operational and ready for duty. But so far, we had no real emergencies other than that sometimes those monsters from outside came close again but couldn't enter,' Wolf said.
