That night the drop ship from the Odysseus arrived with the new soldiers. Wolf was in the hangar to meet with them. The Elites moved out the ship and took position in a line. Wolf went to stand in front of them and spoke to them.
'Welcome to Mayfield Station, soldiers. You have been sent here due to the recent activities on this station. You were trained for the toughest situations and I expect that from you. I want you to be at your stations and be ready whenever you are needed,'
'Yes, sir!' They said. The extra security was here but Wolf knew that they would likely need much more for this operation.
Meanwhile under the ground, The Alien King was lying in his cell, alone and listening. He listened very carefully to everything around them and that was when he felt something and slowly raised up. He sensed the presence of the other Xenomorphs who were kept in this area. But also, could feel the Xenomorph living on the surface even though they were so far away.
He started to groan and try to get contact with the one in the base. It worked he could feel that they felt something and so he tried again but this time did it louder. But at the same time, he was being watched through a camera and two men watching him saw what was happening.
'Open the gas,' One of them said.
'Why?'
'We need to keep him in his place and we don't have the control of the new device,'
'Okay, I'm opening it.' He said. The gas flooded in the room again and the King fell down while still trying to communicate as the light faded out.
The next day, Malcolm was sent to the chamber with the King to observe and assist with the tests. But when he was ready and went to the area where the King was kept he was greeted by David who had already been with the King.
'Ah good you're here, Dr. Joseph,' He said.
'Yeah, I'm ready to do the work,' He replied.
'What's the status of the tests?' He asked.
'Well you are just in time, we were about to start but the subject still shows hostility to us or should I say humans,' David said. This report was no surprise for Malcolm as not much would change in one day. 'No shit!'
However, he kept getting disturbed by flashes of the coldblooded murder. He tried to ignore and walked with David to the observation deck. There were some scientists already working. David walked to one of the men and asked.
'Good day, Dr. Stiller. I see we are ready here,'
'Yes, sir.' Stiller said. 'The control panels work and once the team downstairs has everything ready we can start.'
'Okay, is there anything to say about the King?' David asked. Dr. Stiller looked in the file he had in front of him and said.
'Well there is something. Last night the subject suddenly started to make some strange noises which sounded like he was trying to communicate because the things we have in containment also started to make weird noises and the men that were observing him had to take him out with gas again.' David was surprised by this and ordered to keep this find in the files as it could give more clues.
The intercom in the corner went off and Dr. Stiller answered it.
'Yes, what is it?' He asked. 'Dr. Stiller, the team is ready for the first test. Do you have everything ready? Yes, the system works fine and is fully under our control.' Stiller said.
'Good, can you now check on the King before we start? Sure, just a sec.' He turned around and said.
'Okay, people open the shutters we are ready for test one.' One of the men used a computer and the shutters opened. Malcolm looked through and saw the King lying on the floor presumably sleeping. But he also saw the large chains and the block on its back which was attached to a large cable and behind him was a big electric device that looked like a generator.
