Everything had changed in only the span of a few months. Naeun had turned one year old and the amount of house changes was unbelievable.

Jisoo had moved in with Jennie and me and Lisa bought an apartment together. We all moved back to Seoul and Lisa quit university and went straight to the job she wanted to do. She ended up opening her very own entertainment company, which forms kpop soloists and groups. She was holding auditions and already had many staff she had hired to assist her.

Today was the day that I was going to finally see my family and that they were going to see Naeun. I was quite worried since my mother still doesn't talk to me.

"You okay?" Lisa asked me, holding onto my hand. I looked at our hands before looking at her, I nodded slowly.

"I'm just really nervous" I answered.

"Don't worry, it will be okay" She attempted to comfort me, but we were quick to arrive at their house.

I took Naeun out of her booster seat and held her in my arms. Lisa carried the bag that I always carried for Naeun unless something were to happen. I knocked on the door and we both waited for a response. The door opened as Hyeri stood there, smiling at me. She embraced me softly as I hugged her back.

"I missed you so much, gosh! She's so cute!" Hyeri cooed at Naeun, like everyone did when they first saw here. Hyeri took her turn to hug Lisa before allowing us to enter.

"Is mother here?" I asked her, but she shook her head sadly. I felt slightly upset that she didn't even come, but I had to make sure to not show it. We took off our shoes and coats before heading into the living room.

"My princess! You're home!" My dad's voice was heard from the kitchen. He quickly rushed into the kitchen and hugged Naeun before me. He then embraced me and Lisa afterward.

"I'm nearly done with food, it should be ready soon" He said before leaving the scene again.

"Why isn't mother here?" I questioned and Hyeri was silent for a few seconds.

"She ended up leaving us after getting in an argument with you, she then fought with everyone else, so dad kicked her out" Hyeri explained the story to me as I didn't even think mum would do something like that.

"How old is she?" Hyeri asked me, changing the subject in a matter of seconds.

"She just turned one, how's your job going?" I replied as she shrugged.

"It's going pretty well, what about you both? Do you need me to give you guys money?" She questioned and we shook our heads politely.

"Lisa owns a company, so she manages to earn money from there" I answered.

"What type of company Lali?" Hyeri asked her curiously.

"It's an entertainment company" Lisa responded with a soft smile lingering on her lips.

"That's cool, I wish I could do something like that" Alice commented before we got called into the kitchen.

My father had even went out and bought a high chair for Naeun whenever we would come over to have food. I placed Naeun in the chair and ended up feeding her whilst eating myself.

"How is Jennie and Jisoo doing?" My father questioned as I looked at Lisa for her to answer.

"They're both doing good, they're back in Korea and they live in an apartment together. Jisoo just switched to this university since they allowed her to" Lisa explained as my father listened to her patiently.

"That's good, I haven't seen the pair of them in a while, you both should bring them next time you come" My dad suggested and we both nodded.

After we ate dinner, Lisa went upstairs to sort out Naeun since she started crying. But, I had to talk to my father and sister about what happened with mum.

"She found out that I was sending money to you to be able to help you with your university fees. Then she got annoyed and started taking it out on Hyeri. I told her not to do that, but she argued with me before I decided to kick her out for the best" My dad explained the whole story.

"So, she just left empty-handed?" I asked, confused as they both nodded.

"Why would she do that?" I questioned.

"We don't know" Alice responded.

"I think she left to go to her parents' house instead" My father commented before Lisa's voice could be heard calling my name from upstairs.

"I'll be right back" I told them both before heading upstairs and into my old bedroom. Lisa was sitting there, trying to stop Naeun from crying, but none of her tactics worked.

"She won't stop crying, I think she needs you" Lisa informed me before handing Naeun over to me as she immediately stopped crying. Me and Lisa chuckled lightly at how cute Naeun was acting before the door slamming was heard downstairs.

"I've come to collect my daughter" I froze at the sound of my mother's voice.

"Lis, we need to go" I stated as she picked up the bag and we made our way downstairs. I
held Naeun in my arms protectively as my mother saw me the minute I reached the bottom step.

"What are you doing here?" My mother folded my arms at me as if I was a complete stranger to her.

"I used to live here and this is my family" I answered, stating the obvious.

"Okay, I don't care. Hyeri, pack your things, you're coming with me" My mother commanded as Hyeri shook her head.

"I'm not going anywhere, I'm staying here" Hyeri replied as my mother was about to hit her, but I stopped her hand from hitting her face. I wrapped my fingers about her wrist, immediately causing her hands to stop mid-air.

"Let go of me" She demanded.

"You're not taking Hyeri anyway, she wants to stay here. So, let her stay here" I told her, but she wasn't taking no for an answer.

My mother raised her hand up at me next as I covered Naeun, in hope she wouldn't get hurt.

As soon as her hand was about to make contact with me and Naeun, she was pushed away. I looked up, seeing Lisa standing next to me, glaring directly at my mother.
