Helloooo
So...I suck at school, and because of that I haven't been able to work on this story, but I wanted to to do something a little fun for y'all.
This is going to be 10 skating related questions, and I will have 2 bonus questions about non skating stuff.
Rules: I'm really flexible; you can just comment your answers or answer the questions in a chapter of your own story.
Anyway, here goes!
1) Favorite program I ever did (if you don't skate answer with what program you most enjoyed from one of your favorite skaters): my intermediate short program, On Golden Pond. I also really like skating to Gummy Bear when I was in Basic Skills ^^ Also my favorite Yuzuru program is Parisienne Walkways ;)
2) Favorite jump: loop
3) Favorite spin: when I was still skating, I liked doing layback spins a lot. Now with my injured back, I can't do those anymore, but I like doing flying sit spins and the turtle position ;)
4) Favorite skating move: Ina Bauer. I also looove Yuzuru's hydroblade <3 and I just recently learned how to side lunge!
5) What I like most about skating (for those who don't skate, answer what you love about watching skating): when I was still competing, I liked practicing jumps most because I love flying in the air, but just skating and feeling pure joy from the adrenaline and wind in my face fills me with life. What I love about watching skating is analyzing the jumps and spins, basically judging alongside the real judging panel. But getting to see some really neat and unique choreography and hearing some interesting, unique music choices also gets me excited!
6) Favorite skater(s): Yuzuru Hanyu (duh), Javier Fernandez, Shoma Uno, Nam Nguyen, Roman Sadovsky, the 3A (Sasha Trusova, Anna Shcherbakova, Alena Kostornaia), Kamila Valieva, Daniil Samsonov, tedy2626 ;)
7) Most important thing I've learned from figure skating: Never give up! And get back up!
8) Most memorable skating experience: I live in New England, USA, and my family and I took a road trip to Colorado Springs. My mom signed me up for a competition (Broadmoor Open) in the famous World Arena, and I competed with just my short program. I ended up winning! I also got to take private and group lessons from Tom Zakrajsek, Becky Calvin, and choreographer Drew Meekins. And I met Rachael Flatt!
9) Biggest achievement in figure skating: I was really happy when I was one of the first students in my coaches' group of skaters to get a clean double Axel. I also got to go to Eastern Sectionals one year as an intermediate level skater!
10) Competitions/skating events that I've gotten to see live: I actually have not gotten to see a lot of figure skating events live. They're hella expensive, to tell the truth. But when I was really young, I received free tickets to watch High School Musical on Ice XD, and I've also seen a Disney On Ice show that I think was either solely or mainly featuring the princesses. I did get to see 2016 Worlds at Boston's TD Garden! I sadly didn't get to see Yuzuru, but I saw the ladies freeskate event, so I saw Evgenia Medvedeva, Mirai Nagasu, Rika Hongo, Ashley Wagner, and Elena Radionova, among several others.
BONUS QUESTIONS!!!!
B1) Favorite TV show: MIRACULOUS LADYBUG! (I SHIP MARICHATTTT)
B2) Best part about college: Meeting people! And there's a lot of cool things to do on campus, but the hard part is knowing when to stop the fun stuff and get back to work :(
Ok, obviously I want tedy2626 to do this (note, you don't have to write a story you can comment on the side!). And also omegahoon, zakilou, Analiek, My_Kookiverse...yeah I think that's it for now :).
I will try to update during my spring break, which is the week of WORLDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! ^^
