Janis: The New Heather(Heathers x Mean Girls)

Really, McNamara?

I walked into school the next day and quickly found where the Heathers and Veronica were standing in the hallway. 

"Hey guys!" I said.

"Hey Jan," McNamara said.

"Are you ready to trick the plastics, McNamara?" I asked.

"Not really..." She said, "I'm a little nervous..."

"Don't be. There's no reason to be scared. Think about it this way: You're about to get revenge on a girl who ruined your friends life,"

"Thanks Janis, I feel a little better, but I'm still nervous," McNamara said.

"Um, what about this. What if someone else joins the Plastics with you?" I asked.

"That'd be great," McNamara said, "Soooo.. Duke, would you be willing to join me?"

"Oh, heck nah," Duke said.

"Ok... what about you Veronica?" I asked.

"Nope!" Veronica said, "I need to help Chandler keep these people under control. Who knows what Duke would do if Chandler and I let her out of our sight!"

"Hey!" Duke said, crossing her arms.

"Janis! You could do it!" McNamara said.

"Oh, no no no. Regina hates me too much. She'd never let me join," I said.

"Pleeaaassseeee," McNamara said, dragging out every letter.

"No," I said.

"Come on Janis! Be brave," Veronica said.

"Ok fine. I don't want to, but I'll do it for McNamara," I said.

"Yay!" McNamara said, jumping up and down while clapping her hands. I laughed. Sometimes she really reminded me of Karen.

"Thanks Janis," Veronica said. I looked at her for a minute and I realized how much we looked alike. It was really weird. She seemed to notice too as she cocked her head to the side, raised one eyebrow, and put her hand on her hip. 

"Well, anyway. Here we go trying to get Regina to like me," I said.

"And me!" McNamara said.

"There will be no trying for you, McNamara, you're complete popular plastic material, in a good way. There's no question that Regina will like you," I said.

"Thanks, Janis," McNamara said.

Then the bell rang. All of us ran to our first periods. After school was finally over, I met up with Chandler and McNamara in the hallway.

"Hey guys," I said.

"Are you two ready?" Chandler asked.

"For what?" I asked.

"To go be Plastic," Chandler said.

"I will never be Plastic, I just have to act Plastic," I said.

"Whatever you say," Chandler said.

"Come on Janis!" McNamara said, "Let's go find Regina before she leaves campus!"

"Ok, sure," I said.

"I really hope this works," Chandler said, "I'm counting on you two,"

"Ok, Heather. I won't disappoint. Let's go talk to Regina," I said. I ran down the hallway, McNamara following close behind.Thanks McNamara I thought for getting me into this. McNamara and I walked around in the hallway until we found Regina.

When we did, I was the first to speak, "Uh, Regina?"

"What is it, Dyke?" She asked.

"McNamara and I have a question," I said.

"What would that be? You better not be wasting my time," She said.

"I was wondering if we could be friends again. I kinda miss you," I said. I had to keep from throwing up, saying this was making me so sick. I really had zero interest in being her friend.

Regina burst out laughing, "You? Be my friend? Oh, please. Are you insane?" 

"No, it might help you gain popularity," I said.

"How is being friends with the Space-Dyke gonna help me be popular?" She asked.

"Did you forget I was a Heather?" I asked.

"Oh yeah... ok fine, I'll give you a chance to redeem yourself and not be an embarrassment to society," She said.

"Ok, thanks I guess. What about McNamara?" I said.

"There is no way I'm accepting her. She can go be a Heather, and you can meet me in the art room after school tomorrow" She said, grabbing my arm and dragging me with her. Sorry I mouthed to McNamara. It's Ok  She mouthed back.
