The sun set and rose, and before the prince knew it, it was a brand new day.

Octavio, or what we'll now call him, "Tavi", was out in the palace gardens, waiting for the strange inkling to make his supposed return.

He sat and waited patiently. 5 minutes passed. Octavio ran some potential conversation topics by himself in his head. 15 minutes passed. Octavio picked a blooming wildflower and admired it for a bit before tossing it aside. 45 minutes. No show. Octavio was losing his patience. He stood up and looked around.

At that very moment, it dawned on him that he had never told the inkling a specific time on which to return and it was possible he had missed him completely. It took him a bit of effort to keep from kicking himself.

He sunk back down onto the stone bench, dejected.

"Sigh... Well, whatever! I have much more important things to do than talk to some random inkling ruffian." He muttered in an attempt to mask his disappointment. He really didn't have anything else planned to do today...

Just as Octavio was about to get back on with his day, and accept the inkling as a one-time event, he heard the familiar sound of someone climbing the brick wall. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, the inkling's head popped over the garden wall.

"Ahoy there, Tavi! How do ya do?"

Tavi hurried towards the wall and looked above.

"Ahem... I see you have returned, inkling."

The inkling smiled warmly. "Sure did! And I brought some pretty stellar stuff with me this time. And I told ya to call me Craig." He added. Craig reached back into the bag at his side and pulled out what seemed to be a scroll.

"See?".

Octavio squinted. "Uh... No, I can't.".

Craig furrowed his brow and tried to re-adjust closer. "Ok, how abo-"

His failure to pay attention caused him to lose his balance and found himself tumbling over the wall once again.

 "Hey, watch ou-! "

But this time, instead of landing on the ground, he landed on the unfortunate prince, who was directly in his crash trajectory. Tavi was knocked out cold.

When he had blinked away the black fuzz in his vision, the first thing he saw was...
Craig on top of him, with his face less than around 5 inches away from his.

Octavio became extremely flustered. Craig, however, seemed to be unaffected by this, and instead seemed extremely concerned for Tavi's wellbeing.

"Oh, carp! I'm like, super sorry. Are you okay?"

Octavio was so embarrassed that he forgot how to talk, and what was supposed to come out as "Get off of me!" turned into assorted gibberish words.

"Okayyy then, totally not okay. Maybe there's a doctor somewhere around here? This place seems pretty massive." Craig started to get up to look for help.

Octavio finally snapped to his senses and dragged Craig back before he could go anywhere.

"Wa-wait! You can't leave!" Octavio exclaimed.

"Huh? Why not?" Craig looked back at him, clearly confused.

"Because the guards would see you!" Octavio looked away.

"I'm like... kinda not supposed to have unidentified identities with me at any time..."

Craig was surprised to hear this. "You... have guards?"
