Chapter 8 - Prom Night

Esme's Point of View

I thought it was bad watching him be happy with her for 4 years but nope. Watching him be happy with her at prom is what killed. We all want to be able to say that our prom date is someone we meet in freshman year and we've been dating all through high school. But of course that's just a fantasy for all of us and a reality for the two of them.

We all decided to rent a limo together. Not because we were all still friends but because we were all cheap. Ty and I had signed for the limo under my name so I was the first to get picked up. Around 5:35 the white hummer limo was sitting outside of my house with Ty standing in front of it. I was dressed and ready to spend tonight with my friends. My hair in curls. My pink fluffy dress, fitted at the top showinh a few curves and flowing at the bottom. My silver heels buckled around my ankles, revealing my pink toenails that I had got done last night with the girls.

I carefully walk down the stairs and grab my camera out of the drawer. I take one last look in the mirror before walking out the door. Ty's eyes widened and my heart starts to pound. Do I look bad? Am I not wearing enough makeup? I slowly go over to the limo, "hey" I hesitantly say.

"You look absolutely stunning!"

I instantly feel relieved, "you don't look too bad yourself handsome!" His cheeks turned pink

"I got you something" he said holding something behind his back

"Hey Ty-" I said as he looked up "do me a favour ? " he raised his eyebrow. I know that there is nothing that he wouldn't do for me. "Thank your parents for me... for creating sucha handsome sweet human being"
