When Peyton woke up she didn't see Mina, she thought that she had left again. Thankfully, she was just sitting on her bed.
"Morning." Peyton said to Mina.
Mina looked up from the paper. "You're finally awake." She grinned.
"Yeah, how long have you been up for?" Peyton stretched and stood up.
Mina shrugged, "About an hour or so. Do you want something to eat?"
"I'd love something to eat. There's a diner down the street I think. If you want to go there." She grabbed her car keys from the table.
"That sounds great." Mina stood up, smiling slightly.
"I'll drive." Peyton started out to the car, waiting for Mina to follow.
They drove to the small diner in silence. They sat at the counter, looking over the menu for the breakfast foods.
"So, Pey, what do you think you're going to get to eat?" Peyton was sort of surprised that Mina called her Pey. The last she was called that was when she was about 12, before her parents were killed.
"Umm...I'll probably have the pancakes. What about you?" She looked at Mina as she closed her menu.
"Possibly the same as you or some eggs or even both." She said with a grin.
"That sounds like a good idea. Have both." Peyton tried to help her make up her mind.
They ordered their food when the waitress came over to their counter space.
Peyton turned the face Mina while they waited for the food. "So, Mina, what kind of music do you like?"
It took Mina a minute to answer, as she had to think of her all time favorite. "I really like classic rock and rock, but alternative is pretty rad too."
"I love classic rock and alternative and some indie type. What are some of your favorite bands?"
"Probably Aerosmith, Black Veil Brides, and plenty of other ones too." Mina laughed.
"I know how that is. I have so many favorite bands and things like that." Peyton turned to see their food arriving. "It looks so good."
Mina looked at her eggs and pancakes. "I can't wait to start eating it." She took her fork and knife then started to eat.
After half an hour they had finished, payed, and left. "Hey, how about we don't work the job too much today and we just kinda explore the town for a bit?" Mina suggested, hesitantly at first.
Peyton grinned, glancing at Mina as she drove, "That sounds like a great idea." She started off towards the center of town.
She parked the car in the first empty spot she found. Mina was out of the car before Peyton even turned it off.
"Mina? What are you doing?" Peyton asked in a sing-song way.
Mina turned to face her. "This shop looks so amazing!" Her eyes seemed to light up.
Peyton laughed, "You're so cute when you get excited."
Mina tried to make herself look serious. "I'm not cute." She crossed her arms across her chest.
Peyton shook her head, still laughing. "Let's go." She took her hand and led her into the small store.
Mina looked around at all the little things they had in the store. Peyton watched her, she was like a kid in a candy store. As Mina went around the store she picked up some things that she might purchase. When she looked over and saw Peyton just standing there she took her hand, leading her around the store. "Come on, Pey, you have to pick something out to buy."
"I don't know. I'm not too much into shopping, really." Peyton looked at the things that were in front of her. She picked up a little box, "This could be good to help organize my trunk, I guess. So I can keep my silver bullets from getting mixed with the normal ones."
"That's a good idea!" Mina tried not to drop the things she was going to buy. "Keep looking to see if you see anything else."
Peyton wandering around the store until she stumbled upon a bracelet, there seemed to be only one of its kind though. This meant she had to get it. She looked up and watched Mina across the store, This would be perfect for her. Peyton thought, smiling to herself. She decided to get the bracelet for Mina she went and paid for the box and bracelet.
"Ready to go?" Peyton asked Mina once they both had paid.
"I am. Let's go to some of the other stores." Mina smiled and walked out of the store with Peyton following.
The next store they went into was a chocolate store. They didn't spend nearly as much time in there as they did in the first store. Once they had their chocolate they sat on a bench outside one of the shops. They shared the chocolate they had purchased for themselves.
"Hey, Mina?" Peyton asked.
"Yeah?" Mina looked over at Peyton, her eyes seemed to grow softer as she looked at her.
Peyton pulled out the bracelet she got for her, "I saw this and thought you'd like it. It's only one bracelet even though I know it looks like a bunch of different ones."
Mina took it and hugged Peyton tightly, "Peyton, I love it. Thank you no ones ever done this for me."
